The Prescott House is a brick colonial building in design built in 1905 as a Saranac Lake institutional "Cure Cottage". It was designed as a Reception Center for persons with tuberculosis. Many people came and stayed at the Prescott House while they cured for TB by sitting out on the large open fresh air porches. The large porches offer fantastic mountain views. The Prescott House is located on 2.3 acres. It is hidden at the back of a dead end street in the village of Saranac Lake. The Prescott House is owned and operated by the Sara-Placid Motor Inn, located in Saranac Lake.
