Place was sketchy, inside & out. Room & bedding was dingy. I checked in at night, and failed to notice a condom wrapper under the edge of the bed until I was gathering my things for check-out. I cannot picture a reason for someone to stay here, other than it being the last room left in the county...even then. I... More

When I unfortunately stayed at this "hotel", I was beaten, robbed and had my car stolen. The drug traffic there is horrendous! The smell of drugs reaked in the hallways. I was beaten unconscious in my hotel room, where the person robbed me of money, credit cards, identity papers, my computer, cell phone, clothes and even my shoes!! This person... More

First off, I was not impressed, as we didn't realize it was located on a street where there were many night clubs and lots of foot traffic. When we got to the motel parking lot, we found they used extra spaces to let people park for $5.00, apparently for the clubs. So there were people walking through the parking lot,... More

This is the second time I'm staying here. The first time was in my pre-Priceline days so didnt know any better. The second time, stayed here with a friend to attend a festival which was in walking distance from the hotel, thus we knowingly booked here for te convenience. Lobby is still in good shape, although a bit grubby and... More

I had money stolen from me out of my drawer while I was out!! When I broght this to the managers attention she told me to keep my mony on me and that there is nothing she can do about it. To top it all off she had the worst attitude ever. I later seen another customer complaining of her... More

The East Avenue Inn is THE best located hotel in Rochester for those who want to sample the culture, restaraunts and bars Rochester has to offer. I have stayed at the Inn at least ten times over the past four years, and other than a nonfunctional card key now and again, I have no complaints. The staff has been very... More

The place was disgusting. The bathroom was filthy. I would rather sleep in my car. We left after a few hours and ate the cost of the room. It was well worth the money to stay someplace clean and safe. I would never stay here again. More

I have stayed at this inn on several occasions over the last 3 years usually for 1 to 3 days at a time. I find the staff friendly and accomodating. On my last visit, I forgot my phone charger in my room and right away upon my return home, the front desk called and offered to mail it to me... More

To properly understand the East Avenue Inn and why it represents good value, you have to understand that there are no good hotels in Rochester, NY at any price. Once you accept that fact you can remain Zen about its little quirks and foibles. I stayed for four nights for a conference at Eastman School of Music, right in the... More

If you like excitement, this is the place for you!!! Police cars at the premises, lots of "in and out" traffic, security guards. They cater to weeklong welfare residents. This place is a REAL DUMP!!!! Stay away! More

The East Avenue Inn uses industry standard security practices. This includes an electronic door locking system, fire alarm system, and trained security staff. The area has a significant police presence as we share the neighborhood with many other hotels as well as bars and nightclubs. As a result the East End is one of the safest in Rochester. More
