I've been learning over the years that I really prefer to stay at a standard hotel. This particular inn is in a scenic area and the house is nice but I did notice the TV and lamp stands in the room falling apart or just looking like they were tipping over. And as much as I understand that the inn... More

We try to get away to the Catskills every winter. Bavarian Manor is our favorite place to stay in the winter. The entire staff are outstanding making you feel right at home with the best German food I have ever had, even better then when I was in Germany. The breakfasts are included and are great. Suzanne and Stan are... More

Such mixed feeling about the Bavarian. Room 37 on the 3rd floor had a queen spring bed with mattress only, no box spring, it was just too soft, no support. The room was very cool but the Inn supplied us with extra blankets; it was 3 to 7 degrees outside. Bathroom tub/shower with cadet toilet was dated but clean. The... More

I always feel like I am in a 1940s movie when I step into the lobby. My family has been coming here for years. We have never stayed over---we just go for the food and the atmosphere. (The food is great...German American Cuisine aka comfort food. And a to-die-for "choose your own desert" table on holidays that you can go... More

We thank you so very much for your lovely review. I read it to our staff and want them to know how everyone's efforts are appreciated. One comment you made that hit home was about how coming here feels like the 1940's. My family has been here since the 1930's and I grew up in this hotel. My training has... More

We initially stayed here for a relatives memorial service but ended coming back a few weeks later for a music festival @ Hunter Mtn. The Bavarian Inn is like taking a step back in time. In true German decor, complete w/ knotty pine walls and antique cukoo clocks. Wonderful hosts and friendly service. Your stay includes a country breakfast of... More

We found the Bavarian Manor when researching restaurants in the area we had an event in. We decided to spend a night after seeing how charming it looked on the internet. It absolutely IS charmimg. It's filled with interesting old photos and letters, art, and decor that reminded me of staying in the comfortable homes of my grandparents in Germany.... More

this is our second stay after last year, visiting for family business in the area. only this time we got a larger room (#36 - previously was in #12) and much better!!! room much more comfortable, larger (queen size bed), and beautiful view towards the mountains on the east. worth paying for the upgrade (not much, only an extra $20/night)... The Bavarian Manor is a real gem! It is quite unfortunate (and sad) that some feel the need to “trash” a beautiful and historic bed and breakfast that has been a family-owned business for many years. The Bavarian Manor has true character, charm and warmth. From the get-go Sadie, the Innkeepers dog, may greet you and from there on you... More

I'm in law school and my wife has a very busy job. We traveled home for Christmas and we knew before hand that every waking hour was going to be spent with my family or hers and that we wouldn't have any time to ourselves. So, a few days before we left for home I started looking online for a... More

Oh my gosh, we are very sorry you didn't enjoy your stay with us. You could and should have said something to us directly. The inn has been in our family for over 70 years and we don't take our business lightly. Our family works here and the crew that works here feels like family. So anything negative or positive...
