The Good: The house looks alright from the outside. The Bad: Where to begin, this house is the tackiest house ever, the rooms are dank with linens that smell strange; I don't think they changed the sheets before we got there, because I found hairs. There is a mice infestation that they seem to ignore. While eating their lackluster breakfast,... More

A good friend of mine had stayed here a couple of years back and recommended this place - calling it "cute" and "really interesting". It seemed pretty nice, so I booked a few nights to celebrate an anniversary with my partner. An extremely sad turn of events took place when my partner's father passed away on the day we were... We had a HUGE snowstorm the Wednesday before my husband and I arrived on that Saturday and the Driveway and even worse the Staircase on BOTH sides of the House was covered in Snow and Ice . I mean this is a no-brainer --- guests with heavy suitcases =shovel your walkway and steps right?? Both nights my husband try to... More

Pros: Our room was very small, but it was clean and well equipped with a comfortable bed. The small bathroom was functional and everything worked well. This is the only inn that is within walking distance to the actual town and this is its best feature. Cons: The innkeepers do not care about their guests and were not seen often.... More

I work 5 nights a week as a Hospice Nurse. I was so excited to get away and get some sleep. About 10min's after I turned the lights off I heard a very loud scratching sound in the room. When i finally got the nerve I turned the light back on and saw that my canvas grocery bag was ripped... More

The building is gorgeous, staff was friendly enough. Breakfast was unique, but cream in every one of the 3 courses! Too rich for morning meals. There is not access to the outside world electronically. The decor was wonderful, but you should be warned about some of the artwork on the walls. If you like seeing nude males, this place is... In searching for pet friendly lodging, I came across Lefevre in the listings in New Paltz. We got the Brown room which was the last one available. This place is a 10 minute walk to town situated just off the SUNY campus. The late night sounds of reveling college students can't be heard inside the Inn. It is a beautifully... More

Overall, this place was incredibly overvalued and bizarre in more ways than I can write. Even if you're European or a New Yorker, this place is just flat out weird. We stayed in the "suite" in the barn next to the inn. We couldn't get rid of the smoke smell the entire weekend. It was so bad we almost left... More

We wanted a city getaway to celebrate my husband's birthday and Lefevre house provided the perfect space for relaxation, luxury, romance and indulgence. The food was phenomenal and we highly recommend having the 3 course dinner. Given that it was a weeknight we were the only ones there for dinner, and we were able to put our baby to sleep... More

We had an overall average experience at this B&B. The owners were very nice and attentive, however the place itself is quite overpriced. We really didn't like the room we stayed in, there was really no privacy. We stayed in the Brown sugar room, which is located on the first floor, the worst thing is that the bathroom is detached...
