The Lido is nice enough, but the rooms really do have a smell of musty carpet, which is quite strong. If the motel just fixed that, it would be great.

I recently stayed at the Lido. The sleeping area of the room was clean. Later in the day when I went to use the bathroom I noticed there was an odor. There were cob webs in the corners by the window with the air conditioner and in the bathroom. I also noticed that bugs were getting into the room by...

A group of moms and kids stayed at the Lido Resort in Montauk in August 2011 and had a very nice time. Patty, the owner, is extremely nice and helpful. We were able to book 3 rooms for a one night stay which is very unusual for August. The motel is located in town about 5 blocks from the beach....

Thank you for a very nice review. I do need to point out though that the Lido is only 2 short blocks to the beach, not 5. I believe when your group arrived, you drove over from a different beach ( by Slopy Tuna) and that is why it seemed longer then the short walk just outside the motel.

Montauk is a fun town and you do not need to stay in the fanciest place. The Lido is just the right place to go. The location is great for the beach or town. You don't have to get in your car if you don't want to. The rooms are great and clean, we had a kitchette which was prefect...

The Lido is a gem, it is clean, priced right, and the owners are easy to work with.
Our kids loved the pool and the proximity to the beaches. The stores are all in walking distance.
We are planning on making this a yearly trip...

I spent a long weekend at the Lido Hotel in Montauk and it was fabulous. The hotel is across the street to the beach and you can find everything you need in walking distance from the hotel. The hotel is great with outdoor activities both on the premises and around it. It has excellant rooms with kitchenettes and abundant areas...

This is the worst motel you can get in Montauk. Everything is cheap-the bed, chest, kitchen, bathroom. The bed wobbled and just double, not a queen as thay claimed. Kitchen is dirty as well as the bathroom. All faucets dripping. The bathroom was so digusting, that we took our showers only 5 minutes. There are bugs. At 240$ a night,...

This review was written by a guest that came as a group the thursday before hurricane Irene hit the northeast. The guests were upset that the management only issued credits for future stay for their Saturday night booking ( they did enjoy Thursday and Friday) rather then credit their credit cards. Sadly, this is retaliation for the management's policy, not...

The poor management of this facility is in itself, enough reason not to stay here. Besides there being a completely inept staff, the rooms SMELL. You're either going to one of two scents: intense ammonia or musty carpet. The website says recently renovated; it should have read, "Freshly painted doors," as that is the only thing new about this place....

This review was written by one of the individuals that came with a group the weekend that hurricane Irene hit the east coast. A couple of the members of the party were annoyed that only a credit towards future use was issued for their Saturday night ( Thursday & Friday were unaffected by the storm). This is retaliation for the...

Our family of 5 just spent 2 days in Montauk for a little birthday getaway for my daughter. We stayed at the Lido and were quite surprised at how nice it was. Patty was there to greet us and offer us a place to change (as it was too early to check in). She had beach chairs and towels to...
