Instead of going on a game drive and boat trip, the manager arranged for us and our guide to go on a fishing trip instead which lasted 5 hours, what a great time we had, and we all caught fish which our guide cooked that night, the restaurant staff were very accommodating. We stayed there for 2 days and had... More

the lodge is situated on the water in a very quiet area. Reception with a refreshment was very welcoming. The lodge itself looks great in superb African style. The room was good with a nice en suite. The food was good quality and we were sorry we booked only one night as we had liked to go on safari with... More

The lodge gave the impression of a nicely and elaborately built place that has become run down during the past time. Because of a very enthusiastic recommendation of friends that had stayed at the lodge last year, we spent 2 days at Namushasha and were very disappointed by the service of most of the staff. The guides of the boat... More

stayed here two times. first time we were the only guests and that was something we were in many lodges in that time of year (beginning january). but here the staff was still looking after us instead of sitting down, being bored. the second time i wanted to stay on the campsite but that was not allowed because of too... We spent 2 nights here and we loved every minute of it! The rooms are on top of the river bank (Kwando) and you can look to the river and the grasslands beyond from your bed or while having a shower. There is a really nice terrasse with every room, but we preferred to sit on the platform close to... More

The location on the river is terrific and the views for the sunset are beautiful, what a shame that the lodge itself is neglected. There is so much potential and one can only hope that the management company will step in and bring the lodge back to a better standard. The pool was dirty and filled with bugs, the covers... More

You will see a lot of birds. very special ones. fot instance Retsz Helmeted Shrike. The boat trip was very good, just 6 people in a boat. Good explanations. A Cape clawless otter did we see, and a carmine kingfisher (beautiful) The game drive was terrible (and expensive; 50 euro's). 30 people loaded in a truck, driving thru Bwabwata NP,... More

Recommended. Nice large rooms with big balconies and bathrooms. Our rooms were quite far from the reception area which I guess is my only complaint. We were one of the only guests staying there at this time, so it was nice to have the personalized attention. Food was very good. Lovely, relaxing reception area overlooking backwaters of Kwando River. Early... More

Located in a nice area (next to the river), we were very disappointed by the cleaning of the room (not coherent with the standard of the lodge), the activities are very commercial and not at all personnalized .

Namushasha Lodge is situated just outside Mudumu National Park, near the small town of Kongola. The nearest large town is Katima Mulilo, not Tsumeb, as per the current TA listing. As such, it is situated right on the Kwando river, and has a fabulous position overlooking the river and surrounding river-plain. It was also one of the most pleasant surprises... More
