The Summerland Hotel provides quite adequate rooms. Unlike the Homeland, there are no refrigerators in the rooms (but that's a huge luxury in Africa anyway). The bed was so soft that I put the mattress on the floor. There is little to commend the hotel rooms until you see some of the other hotels in Bahar Dar. Stayed here for five nights. It is much better than the other hotels in Bahir Dar (with the exception of Homland) and the staff are courteous and helpful.
