Stayed at this Microtel for the second time Saturday night. Clean, efficient staffand a very nice room for the price. Had a special rate as I was attending an event at the local Moose Club and they had a block of rooms at a discount rate. Enjoyed it the first time and again last weekend.

Although it's only a few years old things are beginning to wear because of low quality materials. The carpets are beginning to look stained and trampled already in our room. We booked a double queen room simply because it's much roomier than the rather small regular room. It's still standard Microtel with no fridge or microwave and the bathroom sink... More

As my second time staying here, I was very unhappy with the standard room and the fact that there is no dimmer to control the HUGE LONG Fluorescent annoying bright lights..... Positives 1) The hotel is somewhat new. The roll away bed was fine. Negatives 1) The walls are thin. Even with the window tightly shut, I could hear the loud traffic noise outside. I was woken up by people talking and laughing around 1a.m. and woken up again by loud noise in the early a.m. 2) There is no refrigerator... More

The room was spacious, clean, bright and cheerful with yellow and green walls. No hotel brown here. The only thing we didn't like was the breakfast. Lousy, stale pastry, hard-boiled eggs and cereal. The coffee was delicious, though. Wish they would improve their breakfast!!

I would highly recommed this hotel. We were in Johnstown for a couple of family functions and had 6 rooms total including 3 suites. The rooms were clean and spacious. The bed was really comfortable. The four rooms we had were all spacious with two comfortable queen beds in each, and a sort of window seat arrangement in the two suites. There was a frig, sink, and microwave(I think) in the suites as well. Bathroom small but otherwise fine. Pretty good breakfast with waffle maker, but there is a need for more seating for eating... Attended a family function in the Johnstown area and stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in July 2011. Everything is almost new, good free breakfast, nice staff, and a great location near lots of stores and restaurants. Not fancy, but great value. Would certainly stay again.
