The rooms, location, and amenities for an overnight between planes. The staff is very accommodating and an adequate fitness center for a quick workout made for a very positive experience. The restaurant could use some "updating" and a bit more varied menu with more options.

Where do I start? Yes, it's conveniently located to JFK and the shuttle runs on a regular basis. The location is fantastic, less than five minutes drive to JFK. Staff is generally pretty friendly as well. Internet on the higher floors is not good, but from floor 5 and down it's reliable. Free shuttle from JFK Airport really nice, clean modern and new looking rooms restaurant has a limited menu, but staff was willing to prepare special requests. great service from staff. nice touch to have complimentary fruits, coffee and bottled water in reception. overall more than I expected from an airport hotel.

Airport hotels are usually pretty grim affairs. Noisy, threadbare, and often in seedy neighborhoods. In the case of the Sheraton JFK, the neighborhood didn't disappoint (surrounded by freeways, airport access roads and crumbling industrial areas) but inside the hotel was a pleasant island in this wasteland.
