I just love this B&B! I have stayed twice and each time met the nicest people. The owner, Chuck is very hands on. He maintains the property and house meticulously! He has many interesting stories and is fun to be around and can cook very well. The area it is in has Antique shops and stores to browse around in... More

We have been to this inn before we just love going back we have become friends with other regular guests as well as the inn keeper. Can't wait for our next visit. Highly recommend it at any time of the year. Skiing in the winter, festivals at Hunter Mountain or just a relaxing getaway to the mountains.

Steve and Janet are wonderful guests. They have become great friends and are always a pleasure to have at the Fairlawn. I look forward to their visits, some time around the fire pit and the breakfast table. Their wedding was a pleasure to host as the guests that attended were every bit as nice as the host and hostess. Thanks... More

My husband & I recently spend a weekend at the Fairlawn Inn. It was the last weekend of the skiing season and the crowds had definitely left. We had the inn all to ourselves. Chuck was away for the week and Kathleen took over as the inn keeper and she was great. Very warm and friendly and helpful with her... More

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying here for three nights for skiing. Chuck is a great host and even greater breakfast chef. Be sure he shows you his artwork -- a fascinating painting-over-photography technique. Very well-informed restaurant recommendations too. If you like peace and quiet, nice amenities at a very reasonable price, the Fairlawn Inn is the... More

We stayed at Fairlawn Inn for a skiing weekend. Spring Valley is the room we chose. It is warmly decorated with beautiful artworks, comfortable bed and a fireplace. Chuck, the innkeeper, is highly efficient and organized for what he does, but also feels a friend full of insights and curiosity of the world. When I booked Friday morning for our... More

Thank you for the wonderful review and compliments. One of the best parts of being an innkeeper is meeting interesting people from around the world. You both qualified, had interesting perspectives and were a pleasure to host at the inn. I enjoyed the conversation about the differences in cultures in both of your countries and hope at some time to... More

This is my favorite place to stay when visiting Hunter for any season! The house is a gorgeous Victorian with beautiful bedrooms that easily accommodated three people to a room (we did not ask for four). The public rooms are wonderfully decorated and full of interesting touches. The only room off limits is the kitchen and trust me, I would... More

I stayed at Fairlawn Inn during my skiing trip to Hunter Mountain; I must say that I didn't expect it to be SO good!, The house itself is a beautiful restored Victorian mansion, and Chuck, the Innkeeper, did such a beautiful job with its interiors!
