Sausage Tree is world class. I spent three nights there last week and was blown away by the place. It is inside the National Park, on the confluence of a river that flows into the Zambezi. The chalets are utter luxury, and look out onto the river and an amazing vista with elephant and hippo visible from your bed! The... More

To get to Sausage Tree, we flew from Lusaka to Jeki Airstrip. We were the only two passengers on the flight and Jeki is a dirt field with a corrugated metal hut. We then drove the one and half hours to the camp. On arrival we were greeted by Nicci, the manager. Over cold drinks she detailed what we could... More

After a quick flight, we landed on the Jeki airstrip. Sausage Tree was there to pick us up. After a short drive, we were taken to a boat for a nice, 20 minute ride down the Zambezi to Sausage Tree Camp. The camp holds 18 guests (the biggest camp we stayed in on our trip). The huts/tents have tinted cement... More

We had a fantastic trip to SST in July. There is already a comprehensive review by someone else so I won't go into too much depth. To cut a long story short we spent 3 nights there. Initially in room or tent 2 from memory but fortunately for us we got transferred into the family tent. Given we have 3... More

Landing at Jeki airstrip, you immediately feel like you're entering another world, with its dirt 'runway', and a modest hut the only building in sight. Fortunately we found Gilbert & Sam from Sausage Tree Camp offering us the most wonderfully warm welcome. We felt immediately at ease. For the next 40 mins the transfer to the Camp was nothing short... More

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights in mid-Aug 10, having flown in from Lusaka (ex-Kafue) to Jeki Airstrip, then travelled up river by power boat for 40 mins or so (a fabulous way to arrive, having had your very own mini boat-borne safari en route. Location is stunning and right on the river, with super views at whatever... More

Whilst spending time working in the east of Zambia my wife and I treated ourselves to a four day stay at the Sausage Tree Camp having never been on safari before. From beginning to end we had an absolutely fantastic time. All the staff were excellent from the management to the safari guides to the camp staff. The accomodation was... More

This camp is among my favourites. It was our second time at Sausage tree camp and we did not regret it coming back. We love the location on the lower Zambezi. It is so beauftiful to be at this unspoiled part of Africa! The rooms are luxury tents. They can get very hot in October and this was kind of... More

I stayed at STC with my husband for 6 nights towards the end of the 2010 season. From the moment we landed at Jeki airstrip and were met by one of the camp guides, we knew we had arrived somewhere very special and we were not disappointed at all during our stay. The location of the camp could not be... More

Sausage Tree Camp was the final destination of our 15 day safari in Botswana and Zambia - and we had expected it to be one of the best experiences of the holiday! We were not disappointed!!!! We had 4 unbelievable days here. We arrived in our 'caravan' - small aircraft - and were met by a couple of guides who... More
