Have just returned from a 10 day holiday at Sakatia Lodge. Transfers from the airport to the lodge (10pm) and from the lodge back to the airport (4am) went smoothly. The staff at the lodge are professional and supper friendly. The lodge is in a superb location on the island of Sakatia. Because the lodge is located on a small... More

Firstly, the beers are ALWAYS cold......... Wow - what a place! The location of Sakatia lodge is postcard perfect. It is beautifully maintained, well run and is an example of what this type of resort should provide to it's guests. The Vieira family run a slick operation with the friendliest and most pleasant staff we have experienced anywhere and they... More

We have just spent 10 days on Nosy Sakatia at Sakatia Lodge. It is a beautiful location where you can completely relax as there is no television, radio or a newspaper in sight! The staff is friendly, diving relaxing with a very experienced DM, Jacques whose local marine knowledge was exceptional. The food is good, making use of local produce... More

Sakatia Lodge was great! I have never before felt so safe and cared for in a strange place. We arrived after dark and were greeted by a friendly driver called Thomas. Unfortunately though he misjudged the amount of people (I think we were 8 in total) and luggage, because the two vehicles he brought was a tad small for all... More

Sakatia is an island paradise. The food is excellent, the beer is always cold and the staff fall over themselves to provide you with ourstanding service. The team that run Sakatia Lodge is a professional friendly family that will go out of their way to ensure you have a wonderful experience and stay on the island. The scuba diving is... More

This was our 2nd visit to Sakatia Lodge with our 1st visit having been in 2009. We thoroughly enjoyed our 1st holiday there so when we decided to visit Madagascar for a second time, this past December (2011), the decision was a no-brainer And Sakatia Lodge sure didn't disappoint! Firstly, after arriving I noticed that since 2009 Sakatia Lodge had... More

This is our second trip to Sakatia after our first fabulous experience in Dec 2009. We boarded the plane and immediately spotted familiar faces - some of the guests from our previous trip - that's got to say something that we are all returning! Everything was as we remembered it from our previous visit - it was almost like returning... More

Just returned from Sakatia Lodge. Stayed for 7 days.Setting very good. Minimal electricity as generator is switched off twice a day. The beer is never cold. The person looking after the kitchen was sick and the food was poor as a result. The sandwiches provided on our fishing boat was terrible and charged at Euro14. This over and above the Euro... More

We came as a group of 4 after 2w of hurtling round Madagascar seeing birds and lemurs and the few bits of remaining original forest--and the lovely people-- and found that all those reviews were right-Isobella Jose and Jaques run a calm relaxed well sited small setup with very comfortable bungalodges with good ensuite facilities and views across the bay...
