We spent a night here on the way down to NYC. Off the beaten path, Alice's is decorated with a feminine, Victorian touch. Comfortable and quaint, the highlight of our stay was the German apple pancake breakfast. Yum!

Alice's Dowry is the perfect place for a little R and R from the hectic pace of life. Situated in the (very) small town of Cincinnatus, it is a beautiful Bed and Breakfast, with a lovely atmosphere. The innkeepers keep the place immaculate - note the sign requesting shoe removal. The common areas, as stated in previous reviews, are warm... More

We just spent 3 nights at Alice Dowry's and would highly recommend it if you want a peaceful and relaxing stay. We stayed in the North Room which is on the 1st floor. I appreciated that because of some issues I have with my knee and not dealing with stairs was a blessing. The common area is very nice and... More

Alice's Dowry was nicely decorated and clean. The bed rooms were large and the beds very comfortable. The Innkeeper Mary was very accomodating and pleasant. Breakfast was... More

My husband & I stayed at Alice's with friends for a beautiful relaxing weekend. The accommodations were like taking a step back in time. With beautiful decorations to suit the 1836 Victorian, yet very comfortable and modern amenities. The service was very friendly,we were treated like Kings & Queens. Breakfast was more than enough and very tasty! Alice's Dowry is... More

I just spent a wonderful long weekend at Alice's Dowery. The house and gardens where magnificent. Your hosts Mary and Al showed an incredible amount of care to each and every detail. The meals were a culinary delight. I would strongly recommend this lovely B+B to all my friends. K. Marcelle
