My husband and I had never been to Canajoharie before, so meeting Janine and Bill sold us on the area. They gave us numerous suggestions on things to do around town, all of which made the visit worthwhile. The accommodations were private and cozy and we enjoyed getting acquainted with our hosts around the kitchen island. Bill prepared the most... More

It's our second consecutive year at The Pineapple House B & B, for good reason. Janine and Bill are gracious hosts, giving weary travelers a place to relax and share stories and ideas. "Life in the Kitchen," as a title, means simply that we camp out around the kitchen 'island' and look at pictures, talk about life and family and... More

Janine and Bill are ideal hosts -- they make you feel like you are visiting old friends. The accomodations are beautiful, food is fantastic, location is in a beautiful neighborhood that is an easy walk to town. Prices are very reasonable.

If Canajoharie is anywhere near your route or destination, the Pineapple House is a great place to stay. The hosts are friendly and accommodating, the rooms are tasteful and comfortable, and the tasty, hearty breakfast was made to order. Talk to the hosts about good places to eat before you arrive. There are no pets on the premises, which was... More

I stayed here with my nephew on a recent bike trip across New York. It was a wonderful find! We were greeted warmly by Bill and Janine and got the chance to relax after a long day of biking. Bill had made a large pot of chili and graciously offered us dinner - a welcome relief not to have to... More

My wife and I stayed here August 6th and 7th for our yearly family reunion. Being B&B noobs, we didn't know what to expect. As we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the hosts, Bill and Jannine. We were immediately were both taken back by how beautiful the house was and how friendly and accommodating Bill and Jannine were. Our... More

My 10-year-old son and I stayed here overnight during a bicycle trip along the Erie Canal. The Pineapple House is very easy to find after getting into town along the canal path. It's a lovely home in a quiet neighborhood, with the second floor dedicated to the two guest rooms and bathroom. The hosts, Bill and Janine, are extremely friendly,... More

Stopped off for one night and was warmly welcomed. Everything I needed and more. Wanted to see Sharon Springs so Janine gave me a book that was perfect to take along to view the sites. The next morning the breakfast was amazing, thanks to Bill. A perfect balance of a lovely garden, beautiful room, privacy and good company.

This is a great B&B. Owners Bill and Jeanine have an amazing balance of being warm and welcoming, but not intrusive, making our stay extremely comfortable and pleasant. The room is fine, beds are great, and the food is gourmet - We were offered our choice of breakfast - starting with an incredible fruit bowl with a dollop of yogurt... More
