Savuti Camp was our first safari, first camp and first stop in Botswana. After what seemed like quite a drive through much sand and brown bush we arrived at Savuti Camp. We were greeted by staff and shown to our "tent" - The view of the channel from our "tent" was breathtaking. We had not be at camp 30 minutes....I... More

Savuti was our second of two Wilderness Safari camps, after a blissful 2 days at Xigera. Savuti had a lot of competition to live up to the perfect days at Xigera, and they came very close. As others have written, first class from touch down at the run way, to departure. We saw the wild dogs both days, one day... More

This land-based camp is located along the stunning Savuti channel. The main lodge is inviting with beautiful views and the room large and well-appointed. The food was also very good. The Zambian staff were warm and welcoming, especially Lindi who greeted us on arrival. So what's not to like? Well, out first stop on this safari was the Xigera camp... More

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We’re obviously thrilled that you had a good time at Xigera, but sad that your high expectations were not met at Savuti. The camp General Manager was only in camp on your arrival, as he had to be at DumaTau, however the rest of the management team were in place as normal. Savuti usually... More

We were just back from a 4 camp visit to Botswana and we had a great time at Savuti Camp. The lodge, perched on the Savuti channel now running deep, was amazing. I can't believe that this was dry for so many years are now we were going on a boat cruise to watch hippos and elephants. The boat option... More

We found our stay in Savuti Camp top-of-the-bill. Not only was the wildlife view at this moment of the year wonderful (lions, buffalos, elefants, leopards and cheetas all in one day), but the guides were too. We especially found Baba a excellent driver, a nice story teller and very experienced game spotter. MC and Michelle are friendly hosts and will... More

Savuti was our first camp of three on our recent trip. Savuti was the perfect "first camp". Accommodations were excellent. Breakfast and Lunch were excellent. Dinner was okay, but not as good as we would have hoped. The Botswanian guides and workers were wonderful. They love their country and Botswana is the envy of all their neighboring countries. A great... More

Game viewing in the Savuti-Linyanti concession is fantastic. Savuti camp is located in the southwest of the concession. I was lucky enough to sight the ever elusive African wild dog on my first outing, a real treat as I hadn't seen this rare animal on any of my previous visits to Africa. Leopards and lions were also seen on numerous... More

The camp is built on a beautiful location, since from the deck of your tent you can see the hyppos and the elephant just drinking water outside your door (while you're drinking your aperitif!). The style of the camp can gives you a pretty real taste of Africa and the staff is very charming and let's you feel at home.... More

This was the first of 3 camps in Botswana with Wilderness Safaris with 2 of our grandchildren 13 and 15. Headed by General Mgr Chris the staff was absolutely terrific so much so the kids were depressed that we had to leave after 2 nights. Our driver "Kay Gee" was very informative and great with the kids. He tracked down... More

A superb experience from the moment the Cessna landed to the moment we left. Top notch guides, superb views from the rooms and the public spaces. A "wow" around every corner. The game viewing was out of NG. Eg, we spent a morning following a leopard that stalked, slept, stole prey from hyena, climbed tree with stolen warthog carcass.... incredible... More
