I would recommend staying at Chobe Under Canvas a mobile tent that is located inside the Chobe park. Clean facilities, wonderful staff, delicious food & our guide Stanza was the best. I wish I were still there. We were on animal overload & saw lions, lots of elephants, a leopard which is exactly what you want while on safari. We... More

The setting by the Chobe river is a picturesque and stunning view of Africa, and the wildlife is in abundance. The river cruise included in your stay is a wonderful experience to see Hippos, Elephants and bird life up close. Elephants crossing the river, swimming in single file is a memorable moment. The camping is rustic, with some of the... More

Chobe was our second stop on our first ever african experience. We booked a trip through WildLife Africa online (with a bit of back and forth for details through email) and after a lot of research I decided that &Beyond sounded good. We actually started at the Zambezi Sun hotel (not and &beyond property) and were picked up and dropped... More

We were a family of 9 spending 4 incredible nights under canvas. It had been a long day to get there so we were all tired and were a bit horrified after the luxury of Phinda Vlei. Four days later it has to be one of the most amazing experiences of our lives. The game is awe inspiring and plentiful,... More

This camp is within the Chobe National Park, and subject to the standard rules of a) no off road game viewing and b) no game driving after 6:30 PM. We were expecting the normal (and generally quite luxurious) semi-permanent tented lodge, with a main lodge building. Not so. These are genuine tents, which are required to move to a new... More

We stayed at Chobe Under Canvas for 3 nights in early June. This was the first of 3 safari camps in Botwsana (the others were Kwando Lagoon and Xakanaxa) and it turned out to be our absolute favourite by a mile. In fact when we arrived at our next camp, we looked at each other and said: I miss Chobe.... More

My husband and I just got back from our honeymoon and our first safari camp was Chobe Under Canvas. I can't say enough amazing things about this camp, the staff and the entire &Beyond experience. On our transfer from Victoria Falls to Chobe, we were in a van dropping several other guests off at their respective lodges. Each of them... More

We stayed two nights at Chobe Under Canvas as part of a 14-day trip in South Africa, Victoria Falls and Botswana. The other nights were in lodges but we wanted to have the "under canvas" experience and these two nights are the first stories that we share with our friends. The people were fabulous---Robson took care of every need with... More

It was my idea to spend one of our three lodge/camp visits in Botswana and Zambia "under canvas" but my first thought after driving up to five tents plopped in the middle of blazing hot sand and leafless trees was, "Oh $%@#! What have I done?" I should have had no cause for concern - this place turned out to... More

This was our third "And Beyond" travel destinations in Botswana, and the only one which wasn't a lodge. Chobe under Canvas is a small mobile camp site that by law must be moved every five days. Despite the frequent requirement to change location, this is not a "roughing it " kind of camp. While you do sleep in a canvas... More
