Warmwaterberg is a beautifull setting. It has a lot of potential, but sadly the owners are not looking after their investment. I have travelled allover and seen interesting places. I have never had the opportunity to stay in such a dirty place. If you want value for your money, do'nt even think of staying here, just stop take pictures and... More

We have been camping and caravaning at Warmwaterberg for many years and although it is very basic it has a charm all of its own with 2 hot water pools and 1 cold water pool. There are peacocks on the property which make it very much a farm sort of atmosphere but the views over the hills and surrounding mountains... More

Warmwaterberg is set in an incredible location. However, the "spa" and accommodation is incredibly basic. Shared bathrooms, old rooms, average cleanliness, and mediocre service. It feels like a very expensive hostel. We suggest continuing on to Outshoorn and staying at one of the Ostrich palaces that's been converted to a B and B.

We originally discovered this little Karoo gem about ten years ago and since then we have recommended it often and frequented it ourselves. Our February 2011 visit was the first two nights of a planned three-week long road trip exploring the Route 62 and the Garden Route. Warmwaterberg Spa is a hot mineral spring situated between Barrydale and Ladismith. The... More

We stayed in one of the wooden cottages, it was horrible, for starters there was no hot water to shower with and we were not warned of this, it was very dirty, one would expect a little more for the price that you are paying. The restaurant had the most amazing food and the bar was excellent, but there must... More

Unfortunately our visit to the Spa was not memorable. The Langeberg parked home was dirty and old and not a place where I would want to stay. I am only too pleased that my baby hadn't started crawling yet - it was really dirty! Facilities below average. Table tennis bats terrible, shop - counter service and you can't see what... More

Warmwaterberg Spa was very modest place with very relaxed atmosphere. Warm pools were incredibly lovely and even now after two weeks I feel glowing its warmth and energy. We were accommodated in the old Bathhouse. This 2-bedroom apartment was small and charming modest antique cottage. We would have gladly stayed even longer, if the timetable could have allowed. Restaurant had... More

Warmwaterberg is located east of Barrydale on the R62, and makes a great overnight stopping place for a leisurely and more interesting journey to the Garden Route from Cape Town than the direct (and a bit dull) N2. (Suggest the R45 route through Franschhoek up to Worcester, along the R60 / R62 to Oudtshoorn and drop down through the Outeniqua... More
