My husband and I stayed at the Highland Rose for three nights from 18-21 March 2013 for our second wedding anniversary. Upon arrival we were excited at the colonial old house and beautiful gardens. However we waited about ten minutes to be greeted at reception...as it turned out there are three staff members that seem to do everything...spa, food, waitress... More

We booked into the Highland Rose for a couple of days while exploring the Dullstroom area. We were met by the staff on our arrival and assisted quickly to check in and shown to our room. We stayed in the Bramble cottage. It is a nice quite place and I liked that you have a place to park you vehicle... More

Beautifull part of South Africa, spacious rooms (units), quiet, friendly staff. If you want they'll cook you a 3 course dinner. Perfect base to go trout fishing or stop over to the Kruger National Parc. Other than trout fishing there is not much to do in the nearby surroundings.

Our travel agent booked this B&B on our way back from Kruger National to Johannesburg. Lodge is inspired by British cottages: both the beautiful rose garden and the decoration of the room. Our room was spacious, with a queensize bed. We arrived late and left early. But it was nice to have a massage after all these long Krugerpark hours... More

Old traditional guesthouse which was clean and neat but not 4 star. I wouldn't associate the accommodation with luxury more old style and cosy with a fireplace. Staff were friendly but with one option of their 'famous omlette' as a hot breakfast i would hope everyone felt like an omelette otherwise there would be issues. Buildings looked in need of... More

We spent two nights at the Highland Rose this week and thought it was very special. There are beautiful gardens, with lots of birdlife. The service was excellent, and the breakfasts probably the best I have had anywhere. The cottage had a lounge with a fireplace and wood and firelighters, a bathroom with underfloor heating - essential as it was... More

I visited Highland Rose in Dullstroom for lunch on their beautiful garden facing stoep - delicious Boboti and home made lemonade. Warm and friendly hospitality and service with cosy accommodation - from honeymoon couples to families with children.
