Needs updating bad. The building had plumbing problems. Rooms in that building had problems with drains(toilets, tubs, and sinks). Next morning asked to change rooms. They claimed non were clean. Place wasn't half full. Had to stow all my belongings in my car till the afternoon for a new room. Wax was found all over iron. Ski season been closed... More

Stayed here many times in the past during biker rally week, was not great but ok, used to be full w/ bikers every year, property has lost more visitors each year for the last 3 yrs. Last yr, not even 1/2 full & we realized why. We said, "never again". I am surprised they retain the "Best Western" endorsement. Worn,... More

Thank you for taking the time to share your review of the Kachina Lodge. I am puzzled as to why it took approximately one year to write it? Also, the time span in your review are similar to what a competitor might write, however, there have been many improvements done since you were last here. We hope you will visit... More

We arrived in Taos and had no accommodation booked. We were tired after a long day and drove straight to the Kachina as we had stayed there previously and it had been good. The reception area was scruffy and although we accepted the room we did so because we were tired and it was very cheap. However being cheap does... More

An older, but very stylish hotel. Sure it's rooms could use a little updating but if you're going to Taos, you're probably not looking for chrome and marble, right? Being a little older appeals to us as the rooms are usually quieter since the walls are NOT "paper-thin" as one previous reviewer said - (a disgruntled former employee, perhaps). It... More

I booked this trip on Expedia. I was in Taos on business. The room was nice and clean. I stayed for 3 nights. Room cleaned everyday. No refigerator or microwave. North side of town. Quiet. Good hot breakfast. Menu style order. Nice wait staff. Nice front desk lady. I tried to get the owner to purchase a ad for my... More

Hotel was ok. The location was great. Price good. Initial service, not so hot. However, breakfast server was very good. The breakfast was pretty good. Unimpressed with the room. It was kind of dingy. Probably, because the hotel is older. A/C was a small unit that didn't work all that great. More

In a word, this hotel is awful. No sugar coating it. I am struggling to say anything positive. From the lobby which is tired and poorly staffed to the rooms which are dirty and smell. A family member stayed in this hotel just two years ago while still under the Best Western management and it was absolutely fine. I booked... More

Ok for anyone who liked this place, has maybe wanted to experience a horror flick or is a worker at this Lodge. This place was creepy and dirty. Paper thin walls. One of those places you walk into and you think," what the heck did I get myself into"? We were on the first floor and our bathroom window wouldn't even... More

Thank you for that review. When you first entered the room, you had an option to check out. We would of gladly changed your room or checked you out. As for the walls, they are painted not splashed with a Southwest decor. If your window didn't close you could of called for maintenance and it would have been taken care... More

I'm from Los Angeles. That is a place where they are only now realizing the loss of culture, I see it in the sad facebook postings from friends. There were cable cars, Iron gates, decorated lamposts..etc. The little that is left is enshrined for all to see what was. What happens when a large hotel is remodeled is a culturally... More
