We decided on San Geronimo due to its location and great reviews. However, we didn't see any reviews about skiers staying here which I thought was odd. We stayed on location for 4 days and had a really nice time, with very few complaints. The grounds were usually covered in snow, so we didn't get to explore them to much.... More

I cancelled my reservation 2 months prior to my stay and was charged a $25 cancellation fee. Be advised...Charles Montgomery is slow to respond to phone calls and not computer savvy. Unfortunately he handles reservations. It took several emails and phone calls for him to successfully send written confirmation of the reservation via email and I never received written confirmation... More

I found this lodge on line and decided to book a room for two nights to get away from Santa Fe for a bit. Turns out it was just what I needed as an escape from my - while awfully nice - Santa Fe life. It proved ideal. My room had a wonderful view of Taos Mountain. The bed was... More

I was lucky enough to have a couple of days off work and drove down from Boulder, Colorado to ski and relax--I stayed here at the San Geronimo Lodge (Bed and Breakfast). My welcome was very warm and I knew I was in the right place. The inn keepers (whom are both extremely friendly) were a semi-retired couple, both Ivy... More

When my travels took me through Santa Fe and Taos in November 2011, I could think of nothing appropriate than staying at a Fodor's recommended historic San Geronimo Lodge as a base for exploring the local scene, sight seeing and some hiking. SGL turned out to be such a treat that I decided to stay another couple of days and... More

A last minute call to San Geronimo Lodge on a rainy nite and we were happy just to have a room. We met Charles and he just gave us a key to room 7 and said we could do the paperwork after breakfast. Loved the laid back feel and were pleasantly surprised with the spacious room. With the windows open... More

For those looking for a peaceful old world setting, I recommend the San Geronimo Lodge. The vaulted ceilings, architecture, and art were stunning, and the Labyrinth and Peace Path a lovely meditative experience. The fall season was coming on, so the grounds were in transition - pool and hot tub covered etc. I loved cuddling into the cozy French bedding.... More

The Lodge has the potential to be very special, if things were cleaned and updated. It really gives you the flavor of the New Mexico environment. However, it was very noisy at night, and we expected the owners to ask the loud visitors to quiet down after ten, which they did not. The breakfasts were tasty, however some of us... More

San Geronimo is known for its quiet serenity. In fact, some have described it as feeling like a monastery. Alas, if we had known about the noise, we could have resolved the noise issue immediately. Meanwhile, we have set a new policy which bans dogs from the dining room during meal times. Also, sorry I was absorbed in video games.... More

The San Geronimo Lodge is very old and has a lot of history. The food is great and the staff is super friendly. We played music (there are instruments there for you to use) in the main room every night, singing and having a great time and the owner even joined in for a song. If you're looking for upscale-... Owners/Managers were non-existent or unfriendly....did not even greet us with a "Hello or Good Morning". (The 2 dogs are friendlier.) Yet, the owners seemed to be attentive to a large teachers group who just happened to have a videographer "video-taping" their stay. The pool was supposed to be open (we were assured of this on the phone) but we found... More
