We stayed here during our trip to the southwest during Easter. Upon arriving at the property we were greeted by very courteous valets. We self-parked because the parking lot was only about 15 feet away. They do charge for parking which is a little annoying but I understand that the town itself has limited parking. The lobby is strange. The... More

Stayed here for one night in what they call a Native American Suite (Cochise Room) and it is huge. The suite had a living room, kiva fireplace, large tub and glass doors for the tub/shower combo. The bed was great and there were a large selection of pillows. The bar and restaurant areas are beautiful along with the grounds. Artwork... More

We booked the last suite at El Monte during the busy Christmas Season. We had 5 in our party and they were very accommodating. I was turned away from several places because of our family's size. We ended up putting all three kids on the king size bed and my wife and I slept on the foldout in front of... More

Our whole stay was punctuated by very poor, almost non-existent service. It took 10 minutes for someone to show up at the car arrival location. In the lobby, not a soul at reception. Finally, someone showed up and gave the distinct impression that we should feel privileged to have her show up. Quite surly, in fact. Wasn't willing to show... More

El Monte Sagado is just a beautiful, peaceful, gorgeous hotel. They have a free shuttle to area sights and breakfast and parking were included in our price, but I don't think they always are. I heard someone mention a $12.00/day parking fee. We stayed in a suite that was quite large and very uniquely (in the good sense) decorated. The... More

I remember this hotel after it's initial opening. The developer/owner had great vision and spared no effort to make this the most spectacular resort in the area. Every detail was lovingly designed. Well, it aint like that no mas!The place is tired, in need of major maintenance, and it needs new staff. Our visit over the week end (April 2013)... More

This hotel is just off the main strip in downtown Taos. The property is on a beautiful sprawling piece of land. The decor is beautiful, with gorgeous chandeliers circling both the outside and inside. The room was really cool and recently rehabbed ! The bathroom had a walk in shower, and a tub with doors that swing open from the... More

Once again , my craving for a restful and visually stimulating getaway was satisfied. I love this place!! It is magical to my soul. The grounds are enchanting, the rooms are relaxing and stimulating. The day starts with a workout in the gym then an incredible breakfast in the restaurant . The close proximity to the main square in town... More
