We did not stay at the Inn, but did stop by the bar a couple times for a few drinks. The service was polite and friendly. they have fantastic margaritas and we also caught some live music one night in "the living room." We'll certainly stop back by next time we're in town.

If you are looking for authentic New Mexico, then the Historic Taos Inn is your cup of tea. It is located in the heart of Taos across from the plaza and two short blocks from the town square. Rooms are old, but comfortable and clean. The courtyard is an excellent room location for quiet and a respite from a warm... More

It's about location at this historic inn near blocks from the plaza. Quaint rooms mostly on quiet courtyards - some with private garden patios. Although on a busy street, you wouldn't know it! Most rooms feature fireplaces, all are adobe, so you get the real deal at this hotel. Lobby is a jumping each evening with a live band. No... More

The inn has several positives going for it; its has a great downtown location; it has a wonderful lobby and bar area, and Doc Martin's restaurant is off the lobby. Unfortunately our room, in the original inn building, was circa 1960's Motel 6. The inn advertises quaint, individually decorated rooms: HARDLY. I trust the upgraded suites located behind the main... My husband and I did not stay here, but we did come to the Adobe Bar in this facility for an Open Mic Monday night. What an eclectic mix of people! It was fun to relax and listen to the musicians, poets, etc. all while having a nice dinner and delicious drinks. Our server was very nice and attentive. I... More

I’m afraid the Taos Inn is resting on its historic laurels. When you hit the $200+/night threshold you have certain expectations that the Taos Inn just doesn’t meet: Cheap bedding, cheap bathroom fixtures (including leaking toilet), old TV (an RCA for you history buffs…). The shower has no curtain and sprays water all over the bathroom. And it didn't seem... More

Not a lot of choices if you want to be right in the center of town, so I guess for that purpose, it works but that's about it. I understand its an "historic" inn but its still pretty run down, especially the outdoor areas. The front patio was less than inviting, seems a little dingy. Front desk staff very nice.... More

The rooms have been updated but still maintain that rustic and cozy feeling, with two foot thick adobe walls, latilla ceilings, fireplaces, and courtyards. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Made for a very relaxing two night getaway. Just a short walk from the Plaza.

My husband and I really enjoyed our night's stay at the Historic Taos Inn. We liked our adobe room and the charming coutyards. Very comfortable with large roman shower & fire place. My husband made the arrangements and it turned. We thought the town would be closed down on a Sunday evening, but were surprised by the lively local music... More

This was my sixth trip to Taos; fourth time staying at the Inn. Sadly, the love affair has ended. Guests are no longer allowed to use the in-room adobe fireplaces--formerly one of the most charming aspects of staying there. This time it felt like a cheap, overpriced hotel room. Even the bed linens were second-rate. The Inn has lost a... More
