We loved staying at the Lazy Miner Lodge. The owners were friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location is convenient to restaurants. We'll definitely stay here again! More

This was my third time to stay at Lazy Miner Lodge over the last 9 years, and the place has never changed. It is small and family owned and operated. The lodge is definiltely older and could use a few updates, but it is a great little place for a bunch of ski bums who plan to hit the slopes.... More

We decided to stay at the Lazy Miner because they accepted pets (kudos for that) but quickly realized the error of our ways. First, if you're going to be there during the winter bring a pen and paper when you check in because you're going to need to take notes on some rather complicated instructions on the proper and improper... The Lazy Miner sits right on Main Street, close to dining, fun and all things Red River! The grounds have a Picnic-Play area with a couple of BBQ grills, a small swing-set, a place to play horse-shoes and its just up from the actual river. This is is your typical mountain cabin, there are several individual rooms upstairs and downstairs.... More

Anyone who has ever stayed at the Miner since Wes and Mega took over has had the best stay ever. They bend over backwards to make the guest feel welcome, to get you what ever you need, the rooms are nice and cozy, fully equipped and the atmosphere is beyond your wildest dreams. It doesnt matter what time of the... More

New owners. They were pleasant and helpful. But the descriptions I read here did not reflect our visit. We were running late and tried to call the hotel, but all numbers on their printed material did not work. They said they are working on that. We arrived past 9 PM and were told taxes had gone up in town and... More

I wish we would've went there for our ski trip this year. We instead tried a new resort and was very disappointed. The Lazy Miner is unsurpassed in friendliness, price and coziness. We had the upstairs suite that faced the street. The quaint shops surrounding the motel makes for a nice view. The balcony with seating was next to our... More

Somewhat dated but friendly staff, very hospitable. Rooms were clean, spacious and pretty well equipped. Location is great for access to town. Nice grassy area to relax (and grill), playground is a little old (but that didn't stop our kids). Great deal for the money, I would definitely stay there again. More
