We are only staying the night. Rooms were available and there is a good reason why. The lady at the front desk seemed very disinterested in a customers need of a bath plug while checking us in. We got a nonsmoking room and the first thing we found was a dead cricket in the bathtub. The sinks and drains are... More

Found this recommended on Expedia and booked a queen room with full breakfast included. On arrival, the 2 reception staff were very disinterested and advised they were short staffed so rooms were not all ready. They offered an upstairs room or a 1-2 hour wait, so we accepted the "ready" room, which was a smoking room. Everything rather tired and... More

We stayed here on our 1st night of a 13 day vacation and the last night. This hotel has an indoor pool (great idea) except the noise level is unbearable. Pool hours are until 10:00 PM, children playing in the pool screaming, yelling etc. makes sleeping or resting almost impossible. On our last morning there we went @ 8:00 AM... More

Stayed for three days. It was nice. Hotel staff was friendly. Hotel housekeeping never seemed to have enough towels. The hot tub did not work properly. Breakfast was fine & started at 6am. The adjoining restaurant was actually quite good. And the price was competitive.

I had made our reservation through an online booking company and realized as I checked in that I had mistakenly made the reservation for the day before! The desk clerk was very helpful in negotiating with the online company to reinstate my reservation for that night without an extra charge. Thank you. We had eaten a very late lunch in... More

This review is written from the perspective of a wheelchair user. Some accessible rooms are accessible in name only. The Red Lion Inn in Gallop NM is an example of such. A standard room had been converted to wheelchair accessible (not) by slapping up some accessible features in the bathroom with no thought if they would actually work. The bathroom... More

having stayed at this location many times over the years when it was a best western, and having very bad experiences the last few times before it changed hands. I decided because of its locations and ease for me to do my business , I would try it again. The hotel itself hasn't changed much, the rooms are very large,... More

The place was easy to find just off of Route 66, not much in that area to do but then that makes it great for sleeping. Train tracks for enough away not to disturb your sleep. Room were nice, most of the furniture seemed to be new. Person at checking was very friendly and the restaurant was good and adequately... More

Old outdated hotel with a moldy, musty smell upon entering lobby area. Associates not professional but the lady who checked us in was kind. Location not ideal---west side of Gallup away from all the new business area. All hotels in this area seem older and this must have been another chain’s hotel who moved to the other side of Gallup... The roof in the atrium leaked, so the bride and groom brought in canopies - the couple took care of this, not the hotel. The guests didn't get wet, but the area was cold. After the ceremony, when people were seated for the meal, the bride, groom, attendants, and minister started off to sign the certificate - and were rather... More

Yes we did have problems due to the snow that was in Gallup. They asked if they could use canopies and we said yes. There was too much ice on the roof, making it unsafe for maintenance to try and do anything with the problem. The buffet was ready, with plenty of food. However, they asked for 4 more tables...
