We chose the Mai Spa after researching on a couple of sites.....after booking we then read a few negatives reviews and were uncertain what to expect. We were not disappointed. It is as it says on the tin. Very natural, rustic rooms......clean & functional, basic yes but loved it. We had garden view...those with a sea view had it even... More

We stayed here longer than we anticipated while we worked out the retrieval of a backpack lost in transit. Staff was very helpful in that process and comped us massages. The only great massage I had in Vietnam. (spoiled by Thai massage). Place its in need of a garden and it would be most lovely. from our room in the... More

The hotel staff really have to be commended at Mai Spa. Almost without exception they are friendly, ready to help and really take pride in looking after guests. The hotel itself is certainly pleasant and is based around a lovely traditional wooden house. Unfortunately the beach bungalows aren't built in a similar style and are reminiscent of the ubiquitous concrete... More

Great location and good little feet in the sand beach restaurant BBQ nightly. Very poor rooms especially for the price. Bare brick walls, no bedside table lights. hard beds ,pillows. My wife described it as a prison cell with mosquitos. More

I spent three days with my boyfriend at Mai Spa & Resort. The room was in front of the beach with a balcony. It was a simple room with fridge, fan and air condition, wifi, but no tv - which actually was a good thing. The bed was very good. It was also spacious and the breakfast was nice -... More

I,m glad I didn't take too much notice of some of the reviews of Mai spa as now having spent 9 nights there we were more than happy. Every member of staff was very helpful and are all trying hard to speak English. The Spa itself is very good especaily the manicure service. We had a beach view room which... More

“Something I will ALWAYS do again” This winter in Hanoi has not been very friendly or accommodating, over the Christmas or New Year festive period? During the Winter of 2009, we went to Phu Quoc Island and stayed at the Mai Spa Resort. So we thought that we could just do it again…….. We then made airline bookings (which were... More

The Mai Spa Resort is directly located at the beach with a great view from the seafront bungalows. The room was simply but tastefully furnished and very clean. Staff was friendly and the massages offered really a pleasure. Especially great was the fresh Seafood BBQ the hotel owned restaurant was preparing every night. Overall a very good experience! More

We are a couple from Australia in our late 20's. Usually travel backpacker style and by no means fussy! Well travelled. We stayed in a beachfront bungalow for half our stay and a full seaview room for the other half. The full seaview room far outweighed the bungalow. Pros: - Very Good Location: On a nice, quiet stretch of the... More
