I booked our stay at Bamboo as I liked the idea of a quiet getaway to chill out away from the crowds relax under the coconut trees. Bamboo was all of this, however it was not quite what my family needed for our stay in Phu Quoc. The food choice was very limited - a set menu for lunch and... More

I spent four days at Bamboo with a group of friends and while the location is beautiful and the bungalows are adequate and clean, the management of the hotel could use some improvement. In particular, the lack of creativity and options in food choices became tiresome, especially with regards to breakfast. For the price (not that cheap for Phu Quoc... More

We had a lovely three day stay at Bamboo Cottages. We pre booked and paid a deposit via on line banking to fully secure the booking which gave us piece of mind. We booked the second 'tier' of newly built rooms that gave us a lovely view of well manicured gardens and half a view of the ocean. The room... More

Bamboo is a get-away-from-it-all kind of place; very relaxing and far from the crowds. Good points: - Nice spacious bungalows 20 yards from the beach. - Delicious food (although choice was limited), reasonably priced. - Lovely, clean, quiet beach. Occasionally marred by noisy kids, but you could walk down a little way if that was a problem and find your... More

We (a small crowd of 7 friends) stayed here a few days at the beginning of January. the place is a gem. There are just a few bungalows, the beach is perfect. The most important things is that the place is quite far away from city or other hotels. For us it was just great, after a very busy and... More

Bamboo is a lovely setting and our bungalow on the beach was comfortable. Staff are friendly but could be much more attentive and overall the customer service was lacklustre. We left feeling disappointed, particularly with the food. They only do a set menu for lunch and dinner and whilst the food is nice, the service is at times excruciatingly slow... More

We went to Phu Quoc for the weather and the beach. The culture and life of Vietnam we had sampled elsewhere. The villas are well presented with an open air bathroom to the rear, and there is a relaxed, informal atmosphere. The food is excellent. Some other reviews cite niggly things like the food taking half an hour to come,... More

Excellent location and friendly staff. Service often too slow for drinks and meals. Could not lock from the inside of the room, and while the resort is safe, guests need to lock their cabins for privacy as well as security. The lack of power during the day means it's that bit more inconvenient to charge phones, cameras. The family pet... More

A group of us spent 3 nights at bamboo cottages and overall it was a good time. We all stayed in the beachfront rooms and as expected, these were quite bare but well decorated. The beach is a few steps away and the water was beautiful and perfect for swimming. We did a snorkeling trip which was good but the... More

I have to admit, I was a little skeptical at first. A close friend suggested Bamboo (after visiting Phu Quoc for the first time in 2010) but told us about the generator that's turned on for only a few hours a day, limited menus, and the fact that a bungalow would be our shield between the wildlife and nature surrounding...
