Stayed here for 4 nights. The rooms and bathroom were very spacious but would make the suggestion that airconditioning would be an asset. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts, Chris and Joy, even down to supplying a cool bag and ice packs. Excellent location for exploring the area and very easy to find. More

We stayed here overnight on the way down the garden route. The rooms were clean tidy and comfortable. Swellendam is a charming town with many historic buildings, we ate at a local Italian restaurant called La Sosta which was exellent. Our hosts Chris and Joy where very hospitable and the breakfast was very good. More

Stayed overnight en route from Knysna to the Winelands. Very easy to find & well located set back from the road with secure access. Very comfortable room with spacious bathroom. Definitley needs air conditioning though, even with the fan on the room was incredibly hot, granted there was a heatwave while we were there. We had dinner at a steak... More

We stayed one night at the Langeberg Guest Lodge as a brief stopover in Swellendam when travelling between Franschhoek and Knysna. We had opted for one of the king double rooms. The rooms are in little single storey chalets and have their own front doors. Our room was very clean and modern and reasonably spacious, but the rooms are also... More

Swellendam may not have the attractions of Knysna, Stellenbosch or Oudtshoorn but its in between all these places which make it a good place to stop over for a night and do a bit of local exploration. Langeberg was custom built relatively recently, so you are not getting accommodation with any history behind it, but its comfortable, well run, secure... More

We stayed here for our last 2 nights in S Africa and were looking for somewhere special. We were not disappointed. The Langeberg is well located and the rooms are new, very clean, and luxuriously comfortable. A particular bonus of the accomodation is the hospitality. Chris and Joy were extremely friendly, always on hand to give recommendations and guidance about... More

We stopped at Swellendam on our way eastward, so we didn't have much time to explore the area, but had a very restful and wonderful stay at Langeberg Lodge. The rooms are offset from each other, and hence very private, each with its own small outdoor balcony and bench. Inside, the accomodations were tastefully decorated, spotless, and very comfortable. Everything... More
