Spent 4 nights here in February - had a lovely time - extremely helpful staff and a lovely setting, with beautiful views. A great base to stay, with wonderful restaurants and wineries close by - Franschoek is just lovely - try Dieu Donne for the best view of the sunset in the valley, with delicious food and wine too.

We stayed in Val d'or guest house for two nights and didn't want to leave. The grounds and the guest house are stunning, the staff could not be more attentive making sure that everything was to our satisfaction. We are looking forward to returning and staying longer on our next visit. The whole experience was simply perfect.

We stayed at Val d'Or by recommendation of friends who'd visited previously, and we were not disappointed. The location is simply perfect and the hotel offers excellent facilities a short drive from Franschhoek town centre. We had the most amazing wedding at Val d'Or Estate in December! The venue is breath taking and everything went so smoothly. The rooms are massive, and easily accommodated my guests' every need. We ended our South African holiday with an overnight stop at Val d,Or which we had booked through the internet. I would strongly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to enjoy beautiful scenery , great facilities and top class service.
