We stayed at the Barn Cottage for three nights in mid March 2012. Klein Dassenberg was chosen somewhat at random from the web but serendipity looked very kindly upon us and we arrived at a place that massively exceeded our expectations. The accommodation, as the name suggests, is a conversion of an old barn into two self catering units. Ours... More

My wife and I have been coming here and staying in the Stable for over ten years. That we return time and time again says it all. Francois and Sally have mantained this place beautifully, not over doing things (it is a on a working vineyard) but keeping the unbeatable charm and rustic feel. The scenery is spectacular with the... More

We stayed in the Stable cottage for the weekend at the end of March 2012 and what an amazing weekend it was! Even though I was starry-eyed (from proposing to my, now, fiancé), there is certainly no fault to be found with the location, the seclusion, the cleanliness, the surroundings and the hospitality. In fact, it was faultless. The views... More

We stayed at the Slave Cottage for a week in early Jan. 2012 And what a place. Wonderful private accomodation, and the spectacular scenery of the Wineland and mountains surrounding the beautiful valley are stunning! Thanks to the sweet and helpful hosts Francois and Sally, for making it a perfect stay. The Klein Dassenberg wines is a must, very delicate!... More

We stayed for just one night as we had limited time in Franschoek. We stayed in The Stables cottage and the view was breathtaking. It was quite a unique experience to have a whole cottage to ourselves and quite romantic. We didn't need the fire but you could light it if you wanted. We drove to La Bon Vivant for... More

Stayed at Klien Dassenberg on the weekend of the 12 November 2011 and loved it! My wife and I were lucky enough to get a weekend off and decided on Klien Dassenberg because of how close it is to Franschoek itself. Literally, you feel as if your on a wine farm miles away from anything - yet a very liesurely... More

Klein Dassenberg is wonderful! The view is breathtaking! Warm and welcoming, it's convenient to all the best restaurants and wine estates, and the cottages are cosy and private. We spent two nights as part of our honeymoon and thoroughly enjoyed it! If you're looking for a quiet getaway at an affordable price, this is the place to go. We will... More

…well, maybe not anymore :-) Just returned from a very pleasant stay in the treehouse cottage. We needed a quick breakaway from the city and what a wonderful recharge of mind and soul we had. Klein Dassenberg is tucked away at the foot of the hills surrounding Franschhoek. The views are spectacular and one can't but relax and unwind in... More

This time it was the Tree House, but I've stayed in each of the cottages and recommend them all . Located so close to the township and with stunning views of the valley and the pass, this is a wonderful spot for a break from Cape Town. Pop into town, stock up on your supplies and wines, then relax on... More

The Slave cottage is a very quaint cottage, perfectly described on the website and suited to a small family. What wonderful weather we had in the most beautiful part of the cape! Who wants to sit indoors and read when there is a mountain walk and a meander along the river and through the vineyards. The children were kept very... More
