This Hotel is very friendly and beautifully decorated. Artists would love this hotel and Franschhoek of course. Our room was a large suite, lots of space, lovely toiletries, coffee/tea making facilities. Did not know how much it cost as our friends that own AfricaTravelResources.com booked 5 of us in for one night. The intricate details in the decor and colours... More

We loved this place. Our room was beautifully located with a view of the mountains, very spacious (we could have moved in to the bathroom quite happily) and a short walk to breakfast, which was everything you would expect from one of the top 50 restaurants of the world! The hotel, although situated at the end of Franschoek's main street,... More

Le Quartier is located in the center of the town of Franschoek. The property is beautifully landscaped, and the suite we were in was very nice. Service was excellent and attentive. Dining options are plentiful in town, which is a plus because the principal restaurant here, The Tasting Room, serves only a multi-course tasting menu, which is very good, but... More

I arrived in South Africa on a 10 day trip mix of work and pleasure., First time. We started in the wine country near Cape-Town, swung around to Hermanas and drove back to Cape Town and then...flew to an amazing private Game Reserve near the Border of Botswana. We arrived at the Capetown airport at night and drove straight to... More

In reading your post we are very confused as to when you stayed with us as we have not had the bistro for a few years . The Common Room serves South African Tapas and The Tasting Room serves an "African Inspired Surprise Menu " with local ingredients, which is not French in style at all. We are surprised that... More

Apparantly, it was very stupid of me to have left my bag in the room while we went to the Tasting room and the common room for 2 consecutive nights. I didn't realize money was lost till the end of the trip, when we need to use my stack of 1000 Rand. What was left was only 8 bills of... More

We really enjoyed our brief two night stay at this charming and cozy hotel. Our room, with fireplace on the second floor was beautiful, the bed most comfortable and the bathtub very long and deep. A lovely extra added touch was the chocolates on the beds each night and the little memos taped to the bathroom mirrors wishing us "sweet... More

We booked the restaurant several month in advance, we did not stay in the hotel. The restaurant is ranked No 2 in Soouth Africa and 36 in the world!!! And the nine dish dinner including wine was beyond all our expectations, just go there. You will have a four hour experience worth every rand.

We had a super dinner in the Tasting Rooms. The meal was imaginative , the ingredients super and the cooking almost perfect. Not the best restaurant in the World we have been to but certainly the best we went to in South Africa. Yes we thought it superior to the Greehouse in Constantia because of the subtle flavours and construction/plating of... More

A lovely hotel in a very good location. Our first floor room overlooked the pretty gardens and swimming pool, and was huge, bright, clean and very comfortable. All staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. Bottled water was on hand at the pool and reception areas at all times which was most appreciated. We didn't eat in the restaurant but breakfast...
