We have stayed here twice. Last time was as part of our honeymoon simply because we couldn't think of anywhere better. It ticks all the boxes, great location, beautiful accommodation/grounds, fantastic service, delicious food... Aubrey and his team have made Cathbert very special. We would recommend it to everyone.

What a wonderful place. We stayed 2 nights for our 1 year anniversary and they went all out. Had a superb dinner, romantic turndown and the facilities are superb. Only one recomendation to. You are in prime wine country. Please improve on your wine list. Only 1 Sauvignon blanc and it was terrible. Will definitely come again

In the middle of a vineyard, with superb views in all directions, this has to be the best get-away imaginable. Extremely comfortable and well placed either to enjoy the pool and the service or to explore Franschoek, Paarl and the neighbouring countryside. I don't believe there is another holiday spot like it.

As you enter Vrede & Lust wine estate, you enter the portal to another world. We stayed at Cathbert for two nights - it was way too short a weekend. The rooms are clean and wonderfully decorated. They have a fireplace in the rooms as well, perfectly suited to the rainy weather we encountered over that particular weekend. Their breakfasts were fantastic.
