This B&B was beautiful. The owner was very helpful and made reservations for us at the local restaurant and had loads of suggestions for things to do. The room was lovely, my only complaint is that I booked this B&B soley on the fact that it was advertised as having Tempur mattresses...this I would pay handsomely for....I was gutted when... More

Hi, Thank you for your review. I would like to ask you though where we advertise that we use Tempur Mattresses, as to my knowledge , we don't advertise that anywhere. I know that we don't have Tempur mattresses and i know that I havn't advertised that kind of detail since my ownership of 19 months ago. Please can you... More

This little Inn is inviting and warm! It's quaint and close enough to walk into Franshhoek to enjoy a stroll down this fun town or hop on the Wine train for a tour of the many Wine estates. James is on-site and provides just the right amount of privacy yet around to help you if there is anything you need.... More

A beautiful B&B a few steps from the main road in Franshoek, we liked it so much that when our trip was unexpectedly extended (cancelled flight) it was the place we chose to go back to for our extra two nights. The property and the rooms themselves are very well presented and the hospitality and the staff are very warm... More

Great location - close walking distance to village and restaurants. Hotel is beautifully decorated in a Fresh classic style. Room clean, comfortable and quite (no 5). Suburb breakfast with attentive staff. James is a great host and on hand to offer advise on the best places to eat and what to see and do around the village. Would highly recommend... More

We only spent one night at Maison Chablis - but my goodness, we should have stayed longer. Location is excellent - very central (right next to Le Quartier Francais) and ideal for visiting all of the best restaurants in town (i.e. all easily walkable within 2-5 mins). A lovely pool to relax in too after a day's sightseeing or wine... More

We originally stayed at this lovely B&B for one night with a group of friends and liked it so much my husband & I went back again the following week so we could dine at The Tasting Rooms at Le Quartier Francais. They have rooms at LQF but we felt this place had everything we needed for a fraction of... More

We stayed at Maison Chablis for 4 nights. Perfect location for the main street in Franschhoek and easy walking distance to some great places to eat and drink. James was a superb host, made us feel very welcome and was very knowledgeable about places to visit. The room was excellent and also thanks to Pat for the insight into life... More

We were a party of 5 staying for just 1 night in 3 rooms at Maison Chablis following a wedding in Stellenbosch. James was the perfect host - he made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. He recommended lots of things for us to do during our short visit, booked us a table for dinner at... More

The room was very clean and the quality of all materials nice - also good pillows! :-) We enjoyed our little front grade in the morning - tranquil. We are extremely grateful for the superb help and service with our bookings - a big hug for that to you! as well as the way you guided us in Franschhoek -... More

First the good things: The manager James was really friendly and welcoming. He had a good balance of chatter and leaving us alone.... (some proprietors can be too overbearing). We had to leave very early the next morning and James was kind enough to leave us a takeaway breakfast. The position of the hotel was great - close to town... More

Hi, Thank you for your review and your constructive comments. That specific Standard Double room is a small room. Its positive attributes are its outside access to a private patio, which gets the afternoon sun. It is probably small by South African Standards, yet normal by european rooms, certainly to the ones that I have stayed whilst in France. It... More
