The overall experience was very pleasant, the surrounds and rooms are fantastic. The food was not overly fantastic and the spa pool was not up to temperature. I would however recommend the Coach House to any traveller one cannot but relax. Most important the bar is superb.

I have been staying at the Coach House for over 20 years. On business mainly, but also for pleasure from time to time, as we loved it so much - this graceful "Grand Old Lady" up on Agatha - legendary and symbolic for the Tzaneen people and people like me, associated with fruit exports in this vast agricultural region. It... More

This isn't 5 star luxury as in big city Waldorf or Fairmont .... But it's wholesome country style 5 star comfort and hospitality. The rooms and facilities are lovely and the staff are charming. My wife and I spend 4 nights here while visiting family in Tzaneen and loved every minute of our stay. Our executive room (number 31) featured... More

Well I have stayed at the coach house on and off for the past 20 years and this year more than three times on business also four days over new year with friends. It is sad to report the decline in service! the small things like tea in the morning with no tea in it? Waiting more than ½ hour... More

My sister and I have visited the Coach House many times over the past few years and it has always been a very special treat. Atention to detail was made guests feel special but all that disappeared. Lately the place deteriorated to the point where I will never visit it again. Everything is done the cheapest possible way and our... More

ALL IN ALL A VERY PLEASANT EXPERIENCE AS ON PREVIOUS OCCASIONS. PERHAPS NOT QUITE 5 STAR BUT CERTAINLY 4 1/2. contray to one rather critical comment by a previous lunch guest at the hotel, our concerns about declining standards were unjustified. The service was as one could expect from such establishment, staff extremely friendly and efficient, rooms clean and well... More

We stayed at The Coach House while transiting from a safari lodge in Botswana to a camp near Kruger. The drive through the Drakensburg Mountains was an unforgettable experience not to be missed. The hotel provided a nice night of restfulness in luxury after spending a few nights in a tent. The setting of this hotel is amazing and the... More

This was the second time we have stayed at the Coach House (first time 3 years ago). It continues to be excellent in all ways - our room was again large and very well furnished, service excellent throughout (reception, restaurant and bar), and dinner and breakfast both very good. It's in a very nice quiet scenic area, but still has... More

Had many wonderful stays here in the past but recently stopped for lunch to check it out. We were dismayed to see it all very much in need of attention and care - everywhere looked like it was in need of painting, the pool area was unkempt - - the waiter insisted on giving us a dinner mneu eventhough it...
