We spent a magical evening at the restaurant. Steven is an excellent host with a fine sense of humour. The service was very personalized and the five course meal superb. The restaurant is small and cosy. Steven only caters for a limited number of guests and bookings are essential.
My husband and I stayed for three nights at this little gem. After reading the reviews we were expecting good things and we weren't disappointed. The tranquil setting is perfect for a relaxing and calming weekend away. To sit on the patio and stare on the dead yet beautiful tree that sets the scene for sundowners. The four course dinners...

We stayed at this fantastic place for one night and wished we could have stayed longer. It was not too difficult to find, and is in the mountains a few kilometres from Tzaneen.
There is quite a long dirt track to get to the house. The house has been recently refurbished and is surrounded by very large magnificent gardens. There...

The pictures do not quite do the setting justice, it is simply stunning. If you are after peace and quiet, comfort as well as a great kitchen, this is definitely the place in the Tzaneen area to choose.

I don’t normally consider myself a pessimist, but I was a little skeptical of all the 5-star reviews for this property here on Tripadvisor. However, the place lived up to its ratings!
The booking and check-in process were flawless. My room was huge and well-appointed. The view is stunning, as are the gardens. The staff knew my name without ever...

What a nice atmosphere there. We stayed for 3 days and had a marvelous time. The food was excellent and the scenery is just stunning. The very large garden is very beuatiful. From Kings Walden there are interesting trips to make. For the more adventorous the Magoesbaskloof is not to be missed. Also a trip to the Mojadjie is recommended....

Kings Walden is an unexpected delight! The property is beautiful with magnificent, ever changing views depending on the weather and time of day or evening. The social areas are warm and inviting, and tastefully decorated. Our room was very spacious and beautiful, with a fire place, private patio in a courtyard with an outdoor shower. Steven Jacobs is a superb...

......With a visit to Kings Walden. It's all perfect, just go and see!
Kings Walden is a unique destination and well worth a detour. The gardens have always been enchanting and the views exceptional but now the rooms have been so beautifully updated and the dining experience a real 'wow' it deserves all the plaudits. Steven seems to have time to chat to all his guests while at the same time taking a...
