I had to stay at the courtyard after having missed a flight. Room was OK but need update and refresh. Could also hear tv from neighbor. Unfortunately, the stink was quit present and really unpleasant. The card for dinner could be also more exhaustive. Average hotel with common amenities for the rest. Not really worth the price I paid.

I would say that this is OK midrange place, but there're two quirks which sullied our stay there:
1. The location is weird. I had two GPS units in my car and one of them haven't been able to charter the road there. On the top of usual confusing NJ road maze, this is uncomfortable.

This courtyard meets all the expectations you would expect with a marriott, although sometimes it's tough to sleep because of the proximity to the airport. Late at night after air traffic dies down it's not quite so bad though.

I typically stay at the Courtyard Marriott when traveling in and out of the Newark Airport when I have to catch an early flight or if I get in late. I also use it when business meetings start early in NYC and I don't feel like paying NYC prices.

If you are a fan of Courtyard this is just what you expect. The hotel is within 5 minutes of Newark Airport. I stayed here and made it to Time Square in 40 minutes by rental car.
