We are from the Midwest and a beach bungalow was just what I expected. I enjoyed it very much. My wife was expected something more upscale and wasn't as impressed. The owner and caretaker were very friendly and helpful. About a block to the beach, main drag, convenience store, restaurants, etc. We used the dorm fridge and microwave for leftovers... More

We had an amazing little getaway, picking this play on an internet whim. Ed the caretaker was super friendly and very helpful with area recommendations. The place is a little torn up from past hurricanes on the outside, but inside is clean and renovated. Large shower with working heater was a little lukewarm second day. The futon bed was firm... My daughter and I loved the "lived in" feel of our cottage. It was spotlessly clean, the shower was great and the location was perfect for the beach and restaurants. We had breakfast at the Deli round the corner, where the cakes were to die for! Then we walked to the beach at SandyHook, over the bridge, about 30 minutes... More

We stayed at the Nauvoo cottages for one nite. Ed was very accomodating, gave us the biggest cottage there and gave us the lowdown on nearby restaurants and bars. And being as know one was checking in the next day, he told us to check out when we want in th eafternoon. We walked to the restaurant for dinner, less than... More

Although we loved the privacy the cottages offered, I thought it was way too expensive for the experince. There were consistant plumming problems, no dish soap, paper towels, and cultery. The cottage itself was cute and clean but super basic.

You really feel like you are on holiday in these brightly coloured beach huts-its hard to believe you are only 45 minutes from the city by boat from south street seaport! The couple who run it are most hospitiable and friendly...the perfect escape!!

My daughter and I stayed there to enjoy the end-October warm weather. The cabin we stayed in was perhaps worn on the outside, but hat's part of its charm; it was colorful with multi colors of paint on windows, doors, steps. The inside was recently renovated, clean and most adequate, with full bath, kitchenette and sleeping area. We loved the... More

I just came back from Nauvoo where I stayed for the weekend with my husband. This place is the perfect weekend getaway, 1 hour away from Manhattan. The owner, Bill, is very nice, friendly, helpful and responsive. We stayed in the grey bungalow. It's a cute, CLEAN space, with everything you need. Minutes away from the beach and Highlands restaurants.... More

Had a overnight stay in one of the cottages a few months ago while on a business trip to the area. Would not recommend to anyone. Cottage was not very clean and a bit damp. The gardens were obviously not taken care of in a long time and you do not even get breakfast for the $200 a night you... More
