I recently stayed at the Snowy Owl Inn for a scrapbooking weekend. I found the staff to be great - always willing to go the extra mile. Although the room needed a little bit of airing out and updating, it was always made up in a timely manner each day. The food was good and the Inn was a nice,... More

Our family stayed at the Snowy Owl Inn recently -and had a great time. We stayed in the Fireside room - which was like being at home - lots of space, a fireplace, kitchen, etc. The Inn is huge, with lots of gathering areas (fireplaces in each of these areas) throughout the inn. Staff were friendly and helpful - especially... More

Very old and expensive rooms. Stained carpets, pilled blankets, and not enough towels. Huge hockey tournament with lots of kids running around at 8 am with dart guns. Breakfast was in the dark basement and the second morning was a $12.95 buffet with scrambled eggs and pancakes. Only good thing was location. Never used pool or hot tub because it... More

The tone was set when we arrived at 2 pm and were told in an extremely unfriendly way that there were no rooms available until 4. Staff was rude and unfriendly. I understand a checkin policy, however be a little supportive. Perhaps offer some options on something to do. When we returned, at 4, to check in we were told... More

Thank you for your feedback. We strive to meet your expectations during any stay with us, but perhaps missed the mark in this case because you booked with a third party reservation service. In this case your stay was subsequently controlled by their terms and conditions, one of them being the extra person fee payable at check-in. In the future,... More

Rules are ridiculous. Staff is rude. Decor is OLD. Rooms have not been updated in at least 20 years. Rug is DISGUSTING. If u r staying here with kids. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. This is NOT a kid-friendly hotel

Stayed here with a group for a hockey tournament. My first impression set the tone. I went in early because we had a hockey game and the first thing I was greeted with was a big sign that read check in is at 4:00 pm no early check in. But yes I still had to check and I started to... More

We stayed as part of a school party. Steve the Manager greeted us warmly and could not do enough for us throughout our stay as did Tracy. The rooms were clean and comfortable with huge jacuzzi baths and a separate shower. The food was just what a group of hungry teenagers needed, tasty and lots of it! The added bonus... More

The positives: location and the indoor pool. Everything else needs major improvement. The continental breakfast is limited. The rooms are, to quote a friend, "tired". The room was generally clean but the pillows were terrible - imprinted with hundreds of heads before mine. Bed and bedding were old too. Smoke detector hangs on a hook and the batteries are held... We stayed here for a long weekend with our hockey team for one of their tournaments. Pros: - Great location. Walking distance to the rink, shops, restaurant, etc. - Hotel has many public sitting areas that were convenient for socializing - Evening security guards were courteous and did their job well Cons: - Front desk staff were not very friendly... Don't be fooled by the name, location or the joke of a cont'l bfast that comes with the room rate. All you get is stale defrosted muffins or plain donuts wrapped in Seran wrap, nasty oj, apple Juice or icky coffee, that's it, forget milk, not offered. The bedrooms smell like mildew. The carpet, furniture, TV & bedding have not... More

While we appreciate any feedback from our guests, I feel the need to speak to the facts contained here. In my six years at the Inn we have (knock on wood) never seen any evidence of bed bugs. That said, there is no way to guarantee we will not be subject to an infestation in the future. We have, however,... More
