My boyfriend and I stayed here after a long day of amazing skiing at Bretton Woods. The prices were reasonable and you couldn't beat how close the lodge was to the mountain, about 5 minutes! The rooms were spacious, the shower was hot, the bed was comfortable, and the Tv was dated but worked. There was a fridge and microwave... More

I went to the white mountains with a group that was staying at the Highland Lodge. Based on past experience, I wanted to stay somewhere more quiet. I selected Carlson's Lodge and was glad that I did. Carlson's is a nice, clean lodge with fireplaces blasting and a dog wandering around. Best of all, it was really quiet! The breakfast... More

Just returned from a ski vacation to Bretton Woods and stayed at Carlson's Lodge with our two teenage children. I'm so glad we made the decision to stay there. I almost stayed on the Bretton Wood's property thinking we wouldn't want to drive to the resort but it's just a few minutes by car from Carlson's Lodge - even staying... More

We felt most at home - - like we were sharing a room in their home. Yet it afforded the privacy we wanted for a relaxing getaway. The lodge is spacious with a design all its own. All over the lodge there are photos of folks who had stayed there with the dates on them. In addition, there were pictures... More

We just stayed there this past weekend...Loved the charm of this family owned place. You dont need to spend alot to get what you need: The beds were comfortable, For breakfast its coffee / toast. cereal. . Which is fine to get yourself started. Only thing I would suggest, is bring your own pillow. These were to flat for my... More

If you are looking for fancy and posh, keep on going. If you like clean, quiet, comfortable, and homey feeling, this is the place. And all with a great price. Also an excellent location. Easy to get to area attractions. We had a great stay at Carlsons Lodge. We stayed a week, came as strangers, left as "family". We were... More

We only stayed there 1 night and noticed it was a nice comfortable hotel. the views outside the hotel were so beautiful. When you step inside, you are greeted by a friendly staff with smiles, there's a carpeted lobby with a fire place, wood ceiling a piano, couch and in the basement, a game room. To get to your room,... More

I used to come to Carlson's Lodge all the time when I was younger. I don't get to visit as often as I would like these days, but I love the place. It's in such a great part of the state for all kinds of outdoor activities and the staff is wonderful. Although we will miss Mr. Carlson a great... More

A clean place with very nice decorations. But the staff stole our wallet from a drawer in the room. When we brought it up to the owner (Carol), she simply dismissed it and said that we misplaced it. After we told her that 3 people saw that wallet in the drawer, she said that she would ask her staff and... More
