I had first known about and stayed at Loch Lyme Lodge as a child in the 50's. We spent some more time there with our children in the 70's. It hadn't changed much then, and it still hasn't. It's a wonderful place to escape from the busy life, to live on the edge of the woods, and yet experience wonderful... More

We heard about this place at Timberlock, an Adirondack lodge we visit summers in New York. They had a last minute opening so we went in early August for 10 days or so. The cabins were nice, lots of space, but I was blown away by the 5 star dinners every night!! You wouldn't expect such food at a mountain... More

We returned to Loch Lyme Lodge again this summer and had a great time once again. While we were there this time, we checked out a number of the different lodging cabins on the premises. There are 20 in total. They vary quite a bit in size, from one bedroom to four, and each is charming in its own way.... More

We found the lodge by chance on the Internet and then checked it out here where it had had good reviews. However neither the website or the reviews did it justice. We spent a truly content six nights there, enjoying real peace and quiet, the beautiful swimming and kayaking pond, cycling, playing tennis, ping pong, basketball and generally having a... More

The Loch Lyme Lodge is rustic yes, but it is a lovely place to spend a week. The property contains cabins of different sizes, and offers both cabins with daily housekeeping and those without. My family chose the latter and stayed in a cabin with three bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen area, and a screened-in porch. The furniture is typical... More

Rustic it is but the place is lovely. The innkeepers make sure your stay is going well. The pond is a perfect place to swim or row or kayak. I have been going there for years and it is a terrific get away.

Lyme, NH is in a quiet area, perfect for a peaceful and rustic getaway. The pond is very clean and home to loons! The breakfast is hearty and a notch above basic, and Loch Lyme's Sunday evening buffet dinner is very nice and a good value. The cabins are rustic, with working fireplaces. The staff are very responsive and friendly.... More

I was looking for a dog friendly getaway. Just wanted a simple cabin by a lake. The cabin was larger and nicer than the pictures, very clean and well stocked with silverware, pots and dishes. Very well maintained. The bed was very comfortable and our dog was welcomed everywhere. The dog beach was nice, I was able to swim with... More

When we discussed our wedding plans we decided on a fun rustic family oriented weekend getaway as our wedding theme. We wanted to forget the cookie cutter wedding craziness and have a wedding that means having a good time with close friends and family. One where you could be outside, sit by a fire, play music and laugh till dawn,... More

When I made arrangements to pick up a new truck at Gerrish Honda, the date coincided with my wife and I’s eleventh wedding anniversary. Loch Lyme Lodge and cabins were suggested by sales person when I asked about any cabins by a lake for rent. I went to the web site (http://www.lochlymelodge.com/) and knew that would be the place to... More
