I was very happy with my stay at the Inn. My girlfriend and I stayed in the "Blue Room" as part of a Living Social package. I thought the Inn was very accessible as it was exactly 90 minutes from Boston and was very easy to find using GPS. The Inn overlooks a pond in the rear grounds however it... More

It's the day after my stay at the Candlelite Inn and I'm already missing Mariyln's breakfast creations. When I look to review a bed and breakfast, I make sure that they provide the necessities: a comfortable bed and a filling breakfast. * Memory foam queen size with canopy in the Peach Room - check. * Three course breakfasts made extremely... My Sister and I enjoyed our stay in the Rose Room. The bed was comfortable and extra comforters were available if needed. The meals were fantastic Marilyn made our stay a happy one and helped us out with our car problems. Our trip to Vermont over the Oldest Covered Bridge was exciting. Concord not far away for shopping. We would... More

This was a gift, not someplace my boyfriend and I would have normally chosen, but it was lovely! The homemade touches, open dining room, warm hostess and the lovely turn-of-the-century victorian made for a lovely experience. We stayed during midweek, I can imagine at full capacity it would be more crowded, but despite the B&B atmosphere, privacy was key. Highly... More

Far from civilisation the inn is located. In itself, not a bad attribute but close-in dining venues are sparse. Sugars figured large in the morning offerings with sweetened quick breads. Savoury and yeasted breads are not to be expected without prior arrangement. Lodgings are adequate with fellow travellers cementing the visit (do BYOB, obtaining same from the colossal off licence... I selected the Candlelite Inn as a quick getaway from a Living Social offer. We loved it. For a minimum fee, we upgraded to the mini suite. The room was lovely and came with a soaking tub and access to the porch. The bed was very comfortable. The Innkeeper Marilyn was lovely and a very talented cook. Each breakfast that... More

My husband and I spent two nights at the Inn using a special package deal our daughter had located on the "Social Network". The Inn was lovely warm and inviting. Our room was a bit small and I would certainly opt for one of the other six. I had a chance to see the others on our second day. The... More

It is the innkeeper Marilyn's attention to all the little details that will make you feel like a millionaire if you have the good fortune to stay at the Candlelite Inn. She greets guests with appetizers including shrimp cocktail, pinwheel sandwiches, and cheese and crackers which we enjoyed on the veranda. She has a small refrigerator for guests to use... More

A more than gracious hostess, Marilyn seems to go out of her way to provide a comfortable stay at her fine old inn in New Hampshire. We had chance to visit several historic sights, and see the truly beautiful natural surroundings in the Lake Sunapee area. Breakfasts were first class, served with grace and charm. The carefully prepared picnic basket,... More

Marilyn truly is a wonderful hostess, very accomodating and well prepared to serve her guests. Our room was very clean and smelled like fresh laundry, no TV but plenty of books to choose from. The picnic basket was an upscale touch filled with delicious sandwiches and sides. Breakfast was yummy and we liked that she includes lots of fresh fruit... More
