I have stayed at fitzgeralds for the last 15 years. I'ts always been great until my last visit. The new ownership turned up the background music in the gaming area so loud you could not hear yourself think much less play cards. To the new owner of the hotel I'm sure there is a strip joint or two down the street... Stayed here several times in the past & the place is just going down hill as far as room care. Planning on upgrading hotel away from downtown although I like being close. AC unit smelled of mold in whole room, which made for difficult sleep.

I would recommend and I would stay there again. Very clean, centrally located, free breakfasts and extremely low room rates. Food was good. Staff were extremely courteous and cordial. When I booked, I was expecting much less but I located a jewel.

Fitzgerald's has been a favorite of ours for playing slots and card games for years. Service WAS always very good... until they were sold to the owner of the Golden Gate who started cutting back on floor service and free drinks in the Casino. They also took away the poker room upstairs.... The rooms are apparently being totally renovated as... More

We weren't expecting an awesome Hotel knowing that it is older but it was not even close to being enjoyable. The "perfume" smell they are pumping through air system to cover up the smoke smell is worse than the smoke itself. We were in room 3224, corner room with a huge window over looking Fremont St. When we opened the... More

My partner and I stayed in Fitzgeralds (now known as the D) for 8 nights and really enjoyed our stay there. It is located right in the centre of Downtown and is always busy. The room was clean and had everything we needed. We had a couple of nights where the music from Freemont was heard when we went to... More

This hotel is located right on Fremont Street, great location. Older hotel but clean and staff very friendly. A bit noisy at night as our room was located facing Fremont Street, but all in all good value for the price. Breakfast included for three days and very good. Would stay there again.

Stayed here on April 9 and 10 2012 and this was my thrid time staying here. If you want a simple, nice, clean room then this is where to stay. The room was big, the bathroom clean, the bed comfortable, and the floor was quiet. There is not a huge TV but who the heck cares. When I go Vegas I... More
