Arrived Sunday night 8 April. The line for registration was horrendous, would have taken at least an hour to book in so we decided to drive the strip and return later in the evening. I was concerned with some of the reviews on this hotel, but I must say that even though it's not one of the "new" showcase hotels on the strip,it is still nice. Rooms are all suitesand room had a lot of space. Only a 15 minute walk to the strip. I would recommend.

Stayed in the Premium suite in the Impanema tower, which I'm told is the best tower. Like pretty much all the Harrah's properties, they need to update the rooms. Located off strip with average clean rooms for a reasonable price. I had a rental vehicle which made transportation easy (free parking) as opposed to having to take the shuttle bus or taxi to the strip. there are no true non-smoking rooms in this hotel, as the ventilation system circulates unfiltered air from the casino. Thus the whole place smells of stale tobacco and is worn and dirty.

Rio needs to renovate their suites. They look 20 years old. As for the casino is average, aging. Penn & Teller show is right there and funny. Need a car or taxi to do everything.

These rooms are large, clean and adequately furnished. The only drawbacks are the old TVs and the fact that there is no free internet access. Rooms are quiet and beds are very comfortable. This is my second stay at the Rio and I will return.
