If a Holiday Inn Express is your idea of roughing it, the Overland isn't for you. But if you want to experience early twentieth century accommodations, this is the place. It opened in 1908 so was ready and waiting when the Lincoln Highway passed by its front door a few years later. I've stayed there twice and love it but... More

“Charming experience”

Make no mistake. This is not a luxury hotel by any means. But, if you are open to an experience and just need a good nights sleep this is the place. Enjoyed our stay and the dinner as well.

You have to be in the mood for a historic hotel to stay in this place, and willing to put up with the lack of usual motel amenities. The noise level was a real drawback. People doing gardening work outside carried on loud conversations outside, and I finally managed to fall asleep around midnight despite a drunk woman singing along... More
