As some people know, Elko Nevada is a mining town running over with Mine workers and not nearly enough housing. The housung is expensive and moderate at best. Most mine workers(including me) are forced to rent hotel rooms weekly. Stockmens is horrible. Very dirty rooms, no hot water most of the time, the rooms are cold in the winter and... More

Upon check in I had to wait 15 min. for the clerk to return from her break. The downstairs area was under construction and it made it difficult to get from point "A" to point "B." The room I was assigned was horrible. The sheetrock in the bathroom was peeling, the bath tub/shower was dirty with poorly patched grout. The... More

We stay in motels on business an average of 65 nights per year. We know a bit about comfort, security, prices, etc. This motel used to be the place to stay. No more. Although our room was clean it was run down. No mattress pad, bottom sheet was a too small flat sheet, television was a tiny thing, fridge had... More

Let's see where do I begin? First off the front desk lady was rude and prob only gets paid $6 an hour so what can you expect. No pride in her work. Rooms were filthy and look like meth users frequency the rooms and the gaming area. The restaurant food is horrible and the cooks are disgusting. All in all... More

After our last (and by last I mean most recent and final) stay at Stockmen's that's it! never again. The desk clerk was border line rude, the room we had was supposed to be non smoking, but had cigarette burns in the carpet and on the bed spread, asked for a king and got a queen bed, the mattress was... Do not give them a dime of your money as they are now using a bait and switch technique to lure you into low rates and then over charge and mess up credits on card etc. Used to be the spot to stay and gather. No longer. Change in owner and management has made this previously bed bug infested place... More

We stayed one night at Stockmans which was definately one night too long. It was advertised as 44.50 a night. We were charged 57.50 +tax. The heater did not work. They had put a portable heater in the room. It was a smoking room although there was no ashtrays. There was an ice bucket but no glasses. When my husband... More

I saw the other reviews and ended up staying there to save a few bucks. They adverstised $48 rooms on line. When I pulled up, they charged me $68. I should have stayed at the Super 8. Hot water did not work, carpet was full of stains and burns, the room stunk, and the staff were just marginally helpful. I... More

Located in downtown Elko, this hotel/casino is showing its age. Restaurant food is mediocre. Rooms large. Best assets are the price and the cowboy ambiance which reflects the history and nature of Elko. Our room backed on the elevator and the constant noise, while not loud, was off-putting.
