We spent two nights recently at the Lodge where we stayed in the old 1909 enlisted men's quarters, better known as the Lodge Building. We were with 3 other couples and we all had a great time. It was late August so most families with children were no longer there and we found it very peaceful and relaxing. The rooms... More

After a trip to the Black Hills, my family decided to stay a night at Fort Robinson on our return trip. I am so happy we did!! This stay was the best part of our whole trip. We took a horse drawn ride thr/ the fort, had a jeep ride thr/ buttes, the kids had a swim at the pool,... More

This year we chucked camping in a tent for cabins and I am so glad we did. We rented the Band Masters Cabin (half of it) and I can't say enough what a great thing it was. 3 bedrooms, one bathroom...full kitchen...stocked with pots, pans and appliances. The cabin shared a common hallway with the cabin next door and it... More

We stayed in the main building again this trip. Our rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. There was some noise from a PowWow going on in the field outside, but it was not bad. Rates are good. The food in the dining room was good, but you can tell -- at least early in the season -- the servers and... More

We booked a room in the Lodge but, whereas it was clean and we knew it would be basic, we didn't realise how noisy it would be. The noise from people walking past the room on their way to and from the restaurant, flyscreen doors banging and people walking along the upstairs terrace plus the lack of privacy sent me... More

What a great place to stay. So much history and many things to do. Be sure to pay the extra money to visit the museum and take the jeep tour up to the top of the bluffs. Clean facilities and you can tell that they take pride in keeping the grounds maintained. Great for a family vacation, family reunion or... More

We did not stay at the Lodge. We stayed three nights in Fort Robinson's historic Band Master cabin – built in the late 1800s. It is located with a row of other cabins on the lower loop of the Fort's accommodations. It was a very quiet area of the park. The historic reproduction of the first Fort's barracks and the... More

I found Ft. Robinson by accident in 1991. Since then I have returned 3 times since 2003. The friendliest people are in Nebraska, but I stayed at Ft. Robinson for the solitude and the wildlife. I watched specifically for birds and snakes and saw my first rattlesnake and gopher. Turkeys abound, and coyotes can be heard. I stayed in the... More

My wife and I spent three nights at Ft. Robinson this summer. Our room was nice, quiet and comfortable. Food was good and reasonably priced. The stagecoach ride was great fun.

My husband and I just returned from our fifth consecutive trip to Fort Robinson State Park in northwestern Nebraska. We already have our reservations for 2011. I could not imagine a more wonderful experience. Guests stay in U.S. Army officers' quarters for extremely reasonable rates. The homes are immaculately clean and have full kitchens and modern bathrooms. The Fort offers... More
