Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Good location. Room had a strong smell on arrival, possibly clearing material. Fridge and tv didn’t work, but we realised that it was the socket that was faulty. Only one point to use appliances and chargers, which was at the sink. I asked an office employee a question and she just pointed to another man, didn’t say a word and ignored me.

The room was okay. However bring dedorant because it stank. It has no breakfast, wi fi, or hand rails in bath tub. The price for a small room is almost $240 a night. On the other hand it was cleaned daily and was ideally located just outside the west gate of Yellowstone NP.

Start with the light switch not turning anything on. We are hunting around with our phone flashlight to find a working light. Was able to get the lights by the beds operating. They apparently have an electrical problem they are aware of. They had stretched a dollar store extension cord across the room to run everything on the right side of the room out of a single outlet?! The room was very worn and needed a thorough cleaning. Still using physical keys, mattresses had seen many, many seasons pre covid. The parking lot was extremely cramped angle parking, our CRV barely squeezed in through the two rows of the usual huge pickups. Imagine our surprise when we went to leave and management blocked the exit with a dumpster forcing us to back out the way we had come in. I understand rustic charm.... The hotel seems to be operated on a part time basis as the front desk is not manned 24/7 only after check in time. BTW if your looking for the microwave it's sitting at the front desk. That said, the downtown area is very pleasant, but very, very pricey. Most expensive McDonalds I've been to since Moscow, Russia in the 90's.

Most of the West Yellowstone hotels and motels are no frills but high priced. This hotel served its purpose a quick stay after long day at the parks. Had a room on the second floor and no elevator lots of stairs with luggage but I made it. The bathroom fan had not been cleaned in forever.

Do not waste your money staying in this dump!! It was awful, there was what appeared to be blood on the bathroom door, garbage by the bed and nightstand and a dirty pair of socks on the floor. We left without sleeping in the room without a refund, that’s how disgusted we were.

The bed mattresses must cost $20, easily the worst I’ve ever slept on. The tv gets no channels. The worst tourist trap I’ve stayed at. Sleep in your car. The first clue is your room is “non-smoking”, the next clue is when you check in you must sign a form that you will not smoke, no pets, no stealing, etc. Drive an hour away it will be worth it.

This motel is only 2 blocks from the West Entrance to Yellowstone NP so is very convenient. It is a dated property but for the value and location I decided to stay. Gas station, grocery store, and restaurants within walking distance

Where to start... The beds were beyond horrible. The fridge was broken so we lost out perishable goods. Mold in the bathroom above the shower. Counter in bathroom coming off the wall. Ceiling light coming off wall and peeling/molding behind it. Plaster falling off the sleeping quarters walls. Fire alarm hanging by 1 wire, other 2 not ever connected but exposed. large gaps in caulking around shower surround allowing mold to grow. Floors uneven and very loud to walk on. Walls were paper thin and could hear everything outside. The "step" to enter the room was 1/4" plywood box painted. Shower fixture not mounted in the wall and creates a lot of pipe slap and noise. The audacity to charge $174.00 a night for this...what a joke!!! Other than all that...it was great.

We decided on a Yellowstone trip rather late in the Summer. We were happy to find a motel to stay in, but this motel is not worth the price they're charging. The motel is older and the room was VERY small. The bathroom was even smaller. If you are on a budget, and looking to stay near the West Entrance, it's ok, but I'd look for another property next time.

We stayed here from Thursday to Friday and had also booked a room from Friday to Saturday. We had accidentally booked them separately. We asked if we could get the same room two nights, but that wasn’t possible. We then had to move rooms, which was okay. But when we arrived the second night after a day in Yellowstone National Park, there was simply a note on the door saying “credit card declined. no room, sorry”. When we paid for the first night they didn’t let us pay for the second. They didn’t send us an email, they didn’t call us about problems related to the credit card for the second night!!! Horrible “service”!!
