This is the best place to stay for a reasonable price ($70 plus tax). This is money well spent! No breakfast, but rooms clean and nice with two queens, all in good shape. Nice view on the Yellowstone river and the rest of the town. Every room got his own terrace with 4 chairs, some will call this motel very... More

Thank you for your kind review of our property. We strive to make every guests stay a memorable one. In January of 2012 we renovated our hotel upgrading all of the rooms with plush new beds, high profile toilets, and brand new carpeting throughout the hallways and office. We're glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. More

If you want the best view in Gardiner at a very reasonable rate this is the place. Rooms have patios that overlook the yellowston river with mountains in the background. There really isn't much for kids but it is a great quiet getaway for those who just want to relax. Rooms are nice but very basic

Absaroka Lodge provides a nice, clean stay overlooking the wonderful Gardiner River and within walking distance of most of the stores and restaurants of Gardiner. The view makes the value an excellent stay.

After a day exploring what was open in Yellowstone at this time of year, this place is just across the river from the North entrance. We paid $50 + tax for a double room. The room was extremely basic, but had what you needed to get by. Sure there are no frills & luxuries, but at this price I wasn't... More

Only $55 per room and the location right outside of Yellowstone can't be beat! Don't expect a lot of frills, but for 1 night, not bad.

The price during the winter season is excellent. If you stay on the 3rd floor you can have a kitchenette for a little more money. The owners are friendly and accommodating. The view of the Yellowstone River and surrounding mountains is breath-taking. But the most important thing was a clean room!

For the price this hotel is perfect. We came in after a full day snowmobiling in Yellowstone and wanted somewhere close, warm and not too expensive and the Absaroka is all that. The heating works well, the Internet works well, the beds are comfortable, the shower is hot. What more could you need?

My wife and I drove to Gardner on Friday morning, checked in, and spent the rest of the day in Yellowstone. We returned to the lodge just before dark and settled in for the night. The room was clean, the beds had been around a while, but were comfortable. The room was warm, and we were well-rested by morning. The... More

In response to some of the reviews, remember that most people staying in this area just want a good place to crash after long days in Yellowstone. The proprietor, Clay is a nice guy and will be glad to offer suggestions for restaurants, etc. All rooms have a nice view of the river and looking back at the small town... More
