I have been coming to Cooke City for many years now on snowboard trips and have stayed in other hotels and rented other full homes, but after this winter i will only stay at one place. Benji and Clint at the High Country Motel are some of the friendliest people in town and will go out of their way to... More

Great place to stay if your in Cooke. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms have a kitchenette, wifi, tv, awesome clean beds, and a hot tub close by. What more could you need? I plan to come back to the High Country every time I'm back in Cooke.

Awesome friendly feeling, clean comfortable rooms. Heard about this place from friend who frequent it. Staff is extremely helpful, and willing to go the extra mile! This will be my new home away from home when I come to the area- can't wait to get back!!!

The man who checked us in was rude and not helpful at all. He let his dog use the bathroom right outside our cabin and never atempted to clean it up. The room was cold and looked real dirty. If you want to stay in A cabin this is not the place for you. You're better off pitching a tent... More

We've been staying at this motel for the past 3 years in February for our annual snowmobile trip. The room we stay in has a kitchenette, living area, bedroom w/ full bed, table that seats 6, and a sink area outside the bathroom. The living area has couch that folds into a bed and a reclining chair. It's a nice... More

We stayed at the High Country Motel during off season, late October 2011, and found it to be charming, comfortable and welcoming. Joe, our 'host', was very friendly and accommodating, more like staying with a friend than with a corporation. The cabin was clean, cozy and included a furnished kitchen, TV, etc. Free Wi-Fi is available with enough bandwidth for... More

We stayed at this motel and had a great time. Its perfect for the atmosphere in Cook City. The manager was so helpful in pointing out things to do (fishing, hiking, sites to see). And the rooms were clean. Can't wait to go back!

My husband and I stayed here in the slow time, in October. We got the cabin in the back of the property with a kitchen. It was so cute and cozy. Not crazy about the paneling, but the owners informed us that they intend on doing some cutsie updates to the rooms and cabins. It was clean though and Joe,... More

We have traveled all over. We go to Yellowstone often. We have found the Cooke City area to be terribly over priced and this particular motel a complete disaster. This place is terrible. Misrepresented by its web page. Rooms are dirty and smelly. The bed matteress were probably purchased in the 1940's. Carpet was dirty. Bathroom very disgusting. We were... More
