Great place! I was in cooke city in july 2011 visiting Yellowstone Park and stayed in Alpine Motel! It’s a very nice place: clean rooms, helpful stuff, free wi-fi, great location! If I go to see Yellowstone next time I will stay there again!

I hit Cooke twice a summer to do some Atving and swing some fly line. The Alpine is BY FAR the best place to stay in Cooke City and I have stayed at them all, over the years. If you hit the wrong hotel in Cooke, it can be the stay from hell, like a aceen out of Fear Factor!... More

Not really sure why Alpine motel is rated 5 out of 7 in Cooke City. We stayed here twice this summer...once on our way into YNP & the Lamar Valley and the other time intentionally on our way home and found it a great place to stay the night. As others have said, it is not a 5 star hotel.There... More

Thank you for your courteous and honest review of our property. We are glad you had good stays with us. And, just for future reference, we do offer hairdryers and shampoo in the office. Just ask us and we will be happy to provide it. More

We were in Cooke City, Montana on our way to the Beartooth Mountains after Yellowstone which were right there as well. We stayed at the Alpine Motel here for 2 nights - the rooms are old and simple decor and furniture wise, but really clean and the bed was comfortable. Don't expect much else, but then again most people including... More

Thank you for your response. We are sorry for your poor experience with our internet. It is something we are frustrated with as well. Our only option in this remote area is Satellite and it can suffer greatly at times especially when several people are trying to use it. Supposedly in 2012 Century Link will be bringing new services to... More

We 've stayed before & enjoyed it . The rooms are "rustic " ,but it is spotless and the beds are very comfortable. close to the northeast entrance to yellowstone park so you can stay & travel in & out of park.. near gas, restaurant & shops& free wi fi!! Only downside in August is that the restaurant/ bar across... More

When I made my reservation I was not sure if I would be there three of four nights. I paid for four nights but we left after three nights. I understood their policy of seventy two notice of cancellation. They told me if they could rent the room they would refund my money. When I checked later to see if... More

We take offense at being labeled in this way. We have our policy and follow it. If we rent someone's room (who cancelled late) we certainly refund them. Secondly our heaters are all vented to the outside as per STATE LAW. They are top of the line Rinnai heaters which intake and exhaust from outside of the guest's room. This... More

We picked this hotel because it's ideally located very close to the Northeast entrance of Yellowstone. This is the perfect location, to visit Lamar Valley, Tower Falls and even the Mammoth Hot Spring area. We had an awesome stay and enjoyed our visit to Yellowstone very much. We booked a 2 bedroom suite for only USD 125/night which was great... More

Had to plunge the toilet with each use. They had the plunger right there for us to use. Complained to management who said they'd check it out. No hair dryer. We were told check out time was 10am. Since this motel doesn't include breakfast, we went up the street to eat. Returned to our room at 8:30am to brush our... More

Thanks for your review. We will use to improve where we can. The plungers are in every room and not because of a frequent issue. Its mainly for convenience so that customers aren't having to tromp down to the office (especially in the winter) to ask for help. I will relay the information to our help and hopefully they can... We stayed in one of the 2-bedroom suites at the Alpine Motel over the July 4th holiday weekend. Our goal was to be close to YNP and the hotel did not disappoint in that way. The suite was clean and comfortable. Suite included a round kitchen table, full refrigerator, microwave, etc. Nothing fancy in terms of the beds and furnishings,... More
