I loved staying at Napoleons Retreat. Not only was the area beautiful and very safe (solo woman traveller) but my hostess was fantastic and breakfast amazing. A beautiful old "painted lady" lovingly restored with all amenities needed for their guests. I would highly recommend this property.

The inn is picturesque with wonderful architecture and owners who go out of their way to make you feel at home and happy. Napoleon's Retreat is a lovely home in the city in a fantastic location. Stacey was a lovely hostess, very friendly and provided great knowledge of the neighborhood. . And there is so much to do in Lafayette Square. We stayed here for our wedding anniversary and it was a wonderful way to celebrate.
